New Arrivals: Let's Have Some Fun

A calm had swept over Terminal Tokyo, as the Chosen Children had successfully repel the Beemon attack and began to clean up their city. All was well and life would go on, though some scars would take a while to heal. But as the saying goes, there is no rest for the weary.

Another earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

Well, Commander Shepard and Campbell had to save me, but everyone did their part.

[ Kudamon moves into Neku's lap and gives him a worried look. ]

Are you okay?

[scratchitti]

[He idlely rubs the digimon's ears while Terriermon makes a soft concerned noise from his head]

...things like this just get worse is all I'm saying.

[innermonologues]

[ Kudamon makes a content noise and curls up a little. ]

But it's okay because with all of us together, I know we can handle it.

[scratchitti]

"Trust your Partner". Guess that doesn't just mean your literal partner...

He's right Neku, so stop being so mopey! I know it's hard for you...

See Terriermon knows! So everyone should just cheer up.

Let me guess: Squall hasn't been too chipper either?

[innermonologues]

No... but I don't think he gets too chipper often.

[scratchitti]

Yeah, he seems like that type.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall comes walking back to the little group. ]

Neku. Catch.

[ He tosses a water bottle the rest of the way toward him. ]

[scratchitti]

[Neku catches it out of the air, though his surprise is evident on his face. He blinks down at the bottle, back up at Squall... then grins.]

Thanks. [And a loooong chug before he presses the rest of the cool bottle against his throbbing knee]

[innermonologues]

You looked like you could use it.

[scratchitti]

I did. [He pets Kudamon's ears again before picking him up and offering him back to Squall]

You have a pretty smart partner, you know that?

[innermonologues]

[ Squall holds out his arm and Kudamon happily curls around it. ]

I guess so.

[scratchitti]

And a decent conversationalist. We could both take lessons.

Yeah... he can be pretty friendly.

Which you should try to be.

[He sips more at the water before sighing. The talk of friendliness kinda hits home]

Maybe yelling at everyone wasn't the best plan.

It grabbed attention at least.

Koushiro's explanations when we first arrived were really dry. I'm just not great at... dealing with freaking out people.

They'll freak themselves out anyway. There is no stoping that.
