New Arrivals: Let's Have Some Fun

Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: 4 MAY 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

A calm had swept over Terminal Tokyo, as the Chosen Children had successfully repel the Beemon attack and began to clean up their city. All was well and life would go on, though some scars would take a while to heal. But as the saying goes, there is no rest for the weary.

Another earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

[It looks like some things never change. He simply allows himself a smirk, humming a distinctly cheerful note. And while the digimon are talking, He removes his hands from his pockets.]

So, if you're over that whole thing, shall we take a walk?

[It's not exactly like he wants either of their newfound friends to pick up on anything. Not quite yet. He's a being used to other worlds and other parallels, and more than aware of things not exactly being prudent to bring up. And since he doesn't take no for an answer~]

...After you.

[He glares openly, rubbing at his knee before standing back up. He wants to say no, to hold onto that anger and hurt... but in the end he does trust Joshua. And they DO need to talk, no matter how much his pride wants otherwise]

Come on. Keep an eye on... the fox thing while we're gone, Terriermon.

Um... Please don't be long, okay?

All right. Have fun.

You as well!

[And a short walk later, pointed staring at a few what-were-landmarks later, and...]

Say, Neku. How long have you been here...?

[Long enough to procure a soapbox, megaphone and a minor injury, it seems.]

A few weeks, I think?

And this whole "save the digital world" thing. I suppose, from what I heard your little public service announcement earlier, Nice job on that, by the way. I'm sure even Minamimoto would applaud your conviction you're quite invested in all of this.

[A small pause as he looks at one of the buildings again. Okay, the likeness is uncanny. He frowns, markedly.]

...
Anyway, I'm sure you're quite aware, but this place appears to obey similar laws to the UG. While we're encoded soul there, we're encoded data here. Fascinating, hm?

[He scoffs at the comparison to the crazed GM]

It's just not worth it to rail against being here when I could be using the time getting things done is all.

[He follows Joshua's gaze]

And yeah, I noticed. The people brought aren't just brought in from "our" world either. There's.... layers or something, like a wedding cake falling in on itself.

Very sharp. And it simply wouldn't do to go around drawing negative attention to ourselves while we're still new at all of this.

[Especially given the fact their brand new friends might take exception to the fact he in particular never feels like playing nice. For what he's seen, Digimon are certainly the majority...

But a laugh.
]

...Nice analogy.
It's hardly as if data, or soul conversion is anything new or unique. Every time we fought in the Noise plane, our values were converted to be there. It's just one of those things. But if the code can be cracked...

[That building. Again. It's not as if he knows what part of Tokyo they're in, since this is definitely not the Shibuya ward and it's not like he's ever left some version of Shibuya, but... ]

...The architecture here is very 21st century Tokyo. Maybe the Digimon at the terminal was right.

What was that thing about energy... that it can't be destroyed just turned into something else? I dunno, I just know we're here regardless if it makes sense to me personally.

[He sighs]

There's a lot of places here I recognize... almost nothing from Shibuya though. I looked.
whitefeather: ♫ please do not take. (All my emptiness is confined ;)

I think you're looking for the law of conservation of energy - principles still quite robust for their age, albeit some minor adjustment.

[A small pause. And he frowns. In regard to Shibuya, he's at least grateful that some parallel of it hasn't been wedding caked.]

Mhm. Looks like the people didn't quite fit in with the whole "energy in an isolated system remaining constant" thing. Or maybe they did, and something else happened to them after... whatever this is happened. Other than Digimon, it's pretty dead. Almost apocalyptic.
