play, play, play! (april 2013-- game start!)
Characters: EVERYONE!
When: 4 March 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.
Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...
Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

Which was why he sat at the water's edge, soaking his feet and debating a swim all together. That was out of the question though. Kaldur pulled both the D-Terminal and the digivice he had received from a pocket and stared at the devices. While the people in the terminal had seemed confused and bewildered he still wished to speak to them about matters. They needed to get organized but perhaps it was too soon to do that. After all, not everyone was as used to strange occurences or being a hero as he was.
No, the person he REALLY wanted to talk to was this Koushirou fellow. His words had been a bit overwhelming and, while informative, still left Kaldur with more questions than answers. He knew he couldn't hold that against the other, but it would certainly make him feel more productive if he could speak to someone like that.
Kaldur closed his eyes and sighed. There were still too many questions and no answers in sight. But, perhaps it might be better if someone came and distracted him from those thoughts.

"Come on, this way, this way!" A melodic voice sounds and along floats a Lucemon, pulling Cam -- still with his black backpack, still tired, still flickering, when will he stop? -- along by the hand.
He lightly protests, "You're just taking me back the way we came," but his voice is soft and sort of cracking.
Lucemon turns and touches his nose with one finger, an act that surprises him. "Silly Campbell! No, no, the river! I always feel great after a soak in the river! The park's lake's too deep for a soak, that's more for a swim!"
To be honest, he thinks they were both the same and his partner's splitting hairs...but he indulges her, until he sees Kaldur. "I-- O-oh, s-- sorry. We can. Go somewhere else, if we're, uh. Bothering you."
no subject
He offers the other a smile, though it turns into a look of slight confusion as he notices the other...flicker for a moment. Odd. But Kaldur isn't going to mention it, mostly because he's not sure HOW to. "It will not bother me. I was simply trying to sort things out." He figures he doesn't have to specify WHAT things.
At that moment Gizamon bobs up from the water and looks towards the shore, "Ugh! Kaldur! I thought you said you were going to swim with me!" She pauses and notices the two others. "Oh. Do they want to swim too?" She doesn't sound thrilled about the prospect. Kaldur hasn't quite figured out Gizamon's temperament yet, but he is quickly getting the feeling she is not very friendly at first. Well, except towards him.
"Do not mind her. My name is Kaldur'ahm. Who are you?"
no subject
Cam holds one arm in front of him, like a shield, and drums at the other. "Campbell Saunders." This kind of guy sort of demands his full name, it felt. He sounds so serious, yet open, all at once. He can tell Kaldur'ahm's noticed his...glitching, which he's figured out the reason for now, but relief floods through him as he realizes he's not saying anything about it.
"Then we can sit too!" Lucemon cries, continuing to pull Cam along to the waterside. He's not much choice than to just let her drag him. He's starting to understand that might be just how things go. "He's new. Are you new too?"
no subject
He turns his attention to Lucemon, "I am. I arrived only a few moments ago, but it was a little too crowded."
Gizamon muttered under her breath something that might have been "it's too crowded now." But, once again, Kaldur ignored the comment or perhaps didn't hear it. He does gesture at the digimon floating in the water though, "This is Gizamon."

Fun would be nice. Fun would probably be nice for a lot of the people here.
The one to answer is actually Cam. "Really? I've... I think an hour." He shakes his head, a little disoriented. "Hard to keep track of time." His phone's broken. He discovered that shortly after meeting Lucemon, much to his dismay. He wonders if he can get a few things off it, maybe, if someone could help.
He's about to introduce Lucemon, but she does it herself. "Lucemon's the name! Oh, I haven't met many Gizamon, hello, hello."
no subject
"Hello Lucemon."
Gizamon blows some bubbles in the water but it looks like Kaldur wants her to play nice based on the look he is giving her. She lifts her head out of the water more, "Hi. You're the first Lucemon I've met too." Gizamon tosses a glance at Kaldur as if to ask 'There? Happy?' Kaldur nods. He's really going to have to work on Gizamon's people skills, er, digimon skills.

What it's like she never says, because Cam notices Kaldur's gills and exclaims, "Whoa, what's on your. Your neck?!"
no subject
"Hey! Don't be rude! They're perfectly normal!" Kaldur had already explained them to Gizamon, although being a digimon she hadn't questioned it as much.
He probably should have seen that reaction coming from her though. She got rather defensive about him. "Gills. I am Atlantean, that is, I was born under the sea." In fact until about two or three years ago he'd never set foot on the surface world.

"You're just going too slow, Orine!" A different voice answers back. "Look, it's right--!"
However, when Salamon caught sight of the river, she came to a halt upon seeing a Gizamon and another human there. Salamon hadn't expected anyone else to come out the city since it like seemed they were all caught up in the hustling and bustling.
This at least gave time for Orine to catch up finally. She wasn't too out of breath (thanks to all those singing and dancing lessons), but still she hadn't expected to be running around like this at all. She stops shortly after Salamon to regain her composure. That's strange, though. What made her stop?
"Salamo--" Orine is cut off, though, as Salamon quickly decided to hide behind her. "Huh? What's wrong?"
Salamon only shook her head in response. Which only confused Orine even more until she looked carefully in the direction of the river and noticed someone else and another Digimon there.
"Oh!" She seems a bit surprised to see someone else. Orine hasn't really had a chance to speak to any of the others that have been taken here yet. Mostly because of how energetic Salamon had been to show her around.
"I'm sorry," She started albeit hesitantly since she wasn't sure if they were intruding on or disturbing them or not. "Are we intruding?"
no subject
Kaldur wasn't sure what she was talking about at first, but he noticed she was staring past him. Kaldur turned his head and noticed a young girl and another digimon. The digimon was partially hidden behind the girl but still visible. Of course, the girl seemed shy as well.
Instead of being rude, like his partner, he offered a small smile. "It is all right. We were merely enjoying the water and I was just trying to sort out some of the information that was given to us." He paused and then gestured towards the water, "My name is Kaldur'ahm. You are more than welcome to stay...it will not bother me."
no subject
On the other hand, though, there's Salamon. Who doesn't seem quite as pleased at Gizamon's remark.
"What's with that!? I- It's not like you guys own this place!" Salamon stubbornly retorted. Although she didn't move from her spot from behind Orine, though.
"Salamon." Orine gently chided Salamon before she turned around. She bent down a bit so that she could pick up her up and carry her in her arms. The sour expression didn't leave Salamon, but being carried felt nice.
Orine turned back and moved to sit on a nearby boulder.
"Kaldur... ahm-san?" She tried to pronounce his name since she's accustomed to Japanese names. She's not too confident that she said it right. "I'm Orine Aida. And this is Salamon."
The information tidbit he mentioned interested her as well, though. Since she didn't have the chance to talk to any others yet, Orine was feeling confused about the situation as well.
"Do you mean the message from... Ah, his name's Koushirou-san, I think?" She asked. "I appreciate that he took the time to explain everything, but... It's still really confusing, isn't it?"
no subject
He offered them both a smile, "Please, if Kaldur is easier for you, you may call me that." He knew his name could be a mouthful for those not used to Atlantean names.
"And yes, it is Koushirou. I imagine he's a little busy right now to explain things further which is why I was trying to make sense of it on my own. But, you are right, there are still things I do not fully understand and would like to learn more about. But it is only the first day...perhaps more information will come as time passes." Not all problems could be solved over night after all.
no subject
"Though... At least we got to meet them." She spoke referring to the Digimon. She pet Salamon who was resting on her lap and was now choosing to pout and ignore Gizamon.
"I don't really understand the whole partner thing, but... I think it must have made them really happy to meet their partners, didn't it?"
no subject
He recalled Gizamon's reaction to seeing him. It was in stark contrast to how she was acting now. She'd seemed very happy and affectionate, almost overly so. Now, well, apparently he was the only one she particularly cared for and Kaldur couldn't help but to wonder why. Perhaps he would ask some day, but he would not put Gizamon on the spot like that now.
"Yes, they did seem very excited about meeting us. I cannot say I understand it any better than you do, but it never hurts to make new friends."
no subject
"Orine you're just naive. You were taken from your home so you should be angrier!" Salamon proclaimed, although underneath she wouldn't want Orine to go home now that she's finally here.
"Ehhh!? Re- Really...?" Orine replied in shock, "But I thought it might... be better if we could all get along right now..."
Team work and positivity had always been how 0048 did things at least.
no subject
"That being the case it only makes sense that instead of complaining or bemoaning our current predicament we instead focus on working together to correct it. All of us wish to return home and with a common goal perhaps we can all be motivated to work together." Probably a lot more than needed to be said, but he didn't think Orine was naive at all. Granted he might be over estimating her take on things, but he certainly couldn't fault it.

Before he comes running up to him and skidding to a halt right next to Kaldur, beaming even after Hawkmon tells him to slow down and be careful and he might get attacked in self-defense, why aren't you listening boy?]
Kaldur! You're here too? You have no idea how glad I am to see you.
no subject
He looks startled and if he had not already met the other Robin he might have been even more confused by the boy's knowledge of him. He does his best to hide the look of confusion but it's a lost cause.]
I am but...I am sorry I do not believe we have met.
no subject
Oh come on, you can drop the act now. That would've made more sense two weeks ago.
no subject
I am afraid I do not know what you are talking about.
[And it's not like this is mistaken identity because he had clearly said Kaldur.]
What occurred two weeks ago?
no subject
[A pause. Wait.] Is it just me or do you look younger?
no subject
Although now it looks more like surprise. Double agent for the Light? What in the seven seas was he talking about?
Perhaps he should focus on that last part...it might even clear some things up.]
I am 16.
no subject
You're sixteen? [...] Reaaal funny Kaldur. You almost got me there.
no subject
Please explain why you continue to insist on this.
