Sleepwalker Event
Who: Anyone
What: Sleepwalker Event
Where: Anywhere
When: From the 23rd to the 28th
It started so simply. You digimon starts to sleepwalk soon after it falls asleep. And if you were to follow it you found find a white door...where a door shouldn't be. Just like Alice going through her looking-glass the door will take you someplace if you were to go through it.
So the question is, where are you today?

Beside her, Nima's body tensed as if preparing for a fight. "Somehow, I don't think this is going to work," she remarked, sotto-voice.

The six Koemon in the room each took to a line up and drew out some over sized sling shots. When they opened fire each one had launched one hundred little metal balls. So a hailstorm of six hundred balls was now flying at the heroes.
"Look out!" Chili hit the ground but her chosen was not as fast and Beastboy stumbled back as he was mercilessly pelted.

"Iz...iz zat tha besh you got?!" He groaned spitting out metal balls.
Apparently not though because the next barrage, each one launched a metal ball the size of a grape fruit. Three at Jinora and three at Beastboy.
This time Chili was on the offensive and sprang up to punch two of the three out of the air. The third caught Beastboy in the stomach and he doubled over.
The monkeys...laughed hysterically.

As Beastboy rose to his feet the monkey's all took aim at him and fired more of the larger balls. He barely stepped aside letting them race by but caught the last one, glaring hard.
"I don't care if this place was empty when you found it. I don't even care what you've done while you were here. But I'm home now and you're leaving!"
Chili began to glow and looked startled as a flash of light filled the room.
"GAOMON DIGIVOLVE TO GAOGAMON!"
Driven by Beastboy's desire to protect Jinora and reclaim his home Chili had finally found honor in her tamer and connected. The evolved Digimon stood tall and fierce with shaggy blue fur and long dangerous claws.

"Yeah- ow - I'm okay." The girl winced as she pulled herself up to her hands and knees, her shoulder throbbing.
Jinora stared in wide-eyed amazement as Chili started glowing and then digivolved to Gaogamon. She had read about digivolving in the beginner's guide when she had first arrived, but as always reading about something and actually seeing it were two different things.

"ATTACK!" Roared the gorilla digimon and his squad of monkeys sent another barrage of metal balls at them, small and large.
Chili dug her claws into the ground and roared out "Spiral Blow!"
A powerful vortex of wind burst from her mouth and deflected the balls away from Jinora, Nima and Beastboy.

Jinora nodded, watching Chili's defense in awe.

With six green monkeys crawling all over her it seemed Chili's new evolution wouldn't be enough on it's own.
no subject
"Leo Claw!" Leaping onto the pile of green monkeys she slashed and swiped at them with her own paws, batting them away to give Chili time to get to her feet.
Jinora, meanwhile, made her way over to where Beastboy had landed, making sure to keep a low profile so that she wouldn't be noticed.
no subject
"Thank you!" Despite her larger size her voice was still soft when she wasn't attacking.
Turning on the Hanumon she charged forward at nearly blinding speeds. There was a heavy thud as her claws sunk into the bone club he held tightly gripped in his paws.
Meanwhile the remaining Koemon were trying to get away from Nima since they were more effective at range but Nima's attacks up close could wreck them.
Beastboy sat up as Jinora got to him and rubbed his chest. "Another cracked rip...no big deal." He wheezed trying to catch his breath. He'd had worse.
no subject
Jinora looked at Beastboy skeptically. "If you're sure..."

One of the defeated Koemon came limping behind him "Is it right you're kicking us out of our home?"
Beastboy's eye twitched and he nabbed the Koemon's sling shot. "It's my home, you all just trashed it. I'm taking this as rent."
Meanwhile the the battle between Chili and Hanumon raged on. The yellow ape let out a roar and began spraying needle like hairs every which way. But Chili simply snarled and turned away to avoid being blinded. Her muscles trembled as she kept her grip on the bone club.
With one remaining Koemon backed into a wall he wasn't going to go down without a fight. Another spray of metal balls to slow them down.

However, the Koemon's words had struck a chord in the young girl. She found herself remembering Gran-Gran's story about the Mechanist in the Northern Air Temple. The people in that story were refugees trying to escape the Fire Nation. The temple was just as much their home as it had been the monks' home a hundred years ago. Was this situation similar?
Nima advanced on the Koemon, dodging some of the metal balls but letting the rest hit her, unfazed. "Last chance. You gonna knock it off? I don't want to hurt you that much."
no subject
"WHAT!?" The Hanumon roared and turned to glare at the frightened monkey "You do NOT surrender till I say you do!"
"But boss! We're beat!"
We're not beat till I say-"
While he was distracted Chili yanked the bone club out of his paws, sharply shoved the tip into his stomach to double him up and slammed her paws on either side of his face hard enough to make the windows rattle.
He blinked, his eyes crossed and uncrossed.
"We're...beat." He finished with a groan and toppled over backwards.
Beastboy peered over the sofa, then stood up all the way. "We won?"
chili just gave him what she thought to be a cool and in control glance and gave a single nod.

Nima looked back at Jinora with an incredulous look on her face before turning back to the Koemon she had cornered. Just in case.
no subject
"Alright. If I was a jerk I'd make you stay and clean it up but you've lost enough. So just get your boss and leave and we're even. You got me?"
The Koemon seemed to silently discuss this through looks before nodding and whimpering. Without Hanumon they were hardly thugs. More like punk kids with nothing better to do.
Chili was even so kind as to help get Hanumon to the elevator...by throwing him through the open door. She may still be a bit pumped.

Nima walked behind the Koemon, practically herding them as they trudged into the elevator behind their fallen boss.

The floor was now littered with metal balls so Beastboy had to step cautiously to risk slipping on them.
"Well...that happened." He concluded and offered a sheepish grin. "How about I give you a tour then?" A wince "M-maybe starting with the infirmary huh?"
Chili grumbled and stomped over "You are weak and flimsy. You shouldn't put yourself in the line of fire like that."
"What? And let you have all the fun?"
no subject
Nima looked up at Chili. "So he and Jinora are supposed to sit back and let us do all the work? I thought we were in partnership with them."
no subject
Beastboy started to limp his way to the door when a flash of light made him stumble.
"Another evolution? A crest?!" He wondered bracing himself.
But no...it was a glowing ball of data, ones and zeroes swirled around before spreading out to engulf them all.
They were still in the tower when their eyes adjusted, but it was clean, and there were others here. A Slender beautiful orange skinned woman with red hair flew about hanging up banners that read "Happy Birthday Beastboy" with the help of a purple haired girl with pale skin in a blue cloak.
Down on the ground a being, half man and half machine was making something in the kitchen, a cake from the looks of it while a spikey black haired boy with a mask leading in another group of adults. A man and woman dressed all in purple, a mechanical man with bronze and copper for skin, and a slender creepy being all wrapped in bandages.
"He should be out for another hour at least. That'll give us plenty of time to finish preparations."
"Oh I can't wait to see the look on his face." The newcomers were each carrying a wrapped box that they set on the table by the sofa.
"Yeah and here I was worried the little brat wouldn't wanna see us on his big day." The metal man chuckled and the boy in the mask grinned.
"Well...we haven't exactly told him you're coming. If anyone around here would appreciate a surprise party, it's Beastboy."
"Did you often host parties for him growing up?" The red haired girl asked as she and her other female flying counterpart came down to greet the newcomers.
"Well on his birthdays yes, but with him around every day was like a party." The older woman explained with a loving motherly smile.
"Yeah, in the sense that it was always a mess, always noisy and things got broken." The man in bandages joked in a cynical voice.
*****************
Meanwhile Beastboy's eyes were huge and shiny with tears as the scene spread out in front of him.
"D-dude..."
What else could he say? The memory began to fade just as he reached out for the older woman in purple and just as suddenly as it had begun they were back in the trashed tower they had fought for.
"What...just happened?" Chili wondered out loud.
"It was my birthday..." Beastboy mumbled still in awe.

Caught by surprised by the sudden transformation of the room, Jinora watched the events unfold before her. When the scene faded she turned to Beastboy. "Was that...your family? And your friends?"
no subject
Beastboy nodded numbly and looked like he could be knocked over with a feather.
"Y-yeah...that was just a few months before I got taken to the Digital World...I mean I think it was I wasn't there obviously but I remember the party later. I...and it was my birthday a couple days ago."
He shook his head to try and shake off the numb feeling in his brain.
"My two families, the Teen Titans and the Doom Patrol coming together for my sixteenth birthday."
"But why?" Chili wondered feeling the energy of evolution burning off as she shrank back down to Gaomon form.
"Well I was born on-"
"No I mean, why did we see that memory?"
Beastboy shrugged his narrow shoulders "It's not the first time I've seen a memory in this world...but it was the first time it was one of mine."
no subject
She was still a little dumbfounded by the memory, not just that she had gotten to share the moment with Beastboy but that it had happened in the first place.

Sounds like a plan to me :)
