Myotismon's Castle
Who: Anyone
What: Con Job
Where: Myotismon's Castle
When: Evening of the 27th
Myotismon's castle is open to the public in a grand spectacle of a party. The night starts off easy enough, but later in the evening, Myotismon will have his grand unveiling of the fabled relic, a scroll said to be capable of allowing its user to travel back in time. Myotismon is confident enough to allow people inside his humble abode, but make no mistake: He has the highest form of security monitoring his guests, his relic and his dwellings. Devimon, NeoDevimon and SkullSatanamon both patrol the party, and are perched at important points of interest around the relic itself. A variety of security measures have been put in place- is your character sharp enough or prepared enough to spot it?
Also be forewarned that if Myotismon and his guard are in possession of the scroll, they just may temporarily remove a number of memories (period of 5 minutes- enough for bodyguards to toss the confused perpetrator out!)
Lounge around in the lobby and the grand staircase, sneak into the kitchen, scout around upstairs and familiarize yourself with the security systems, schmooze with guests or grab some refreshments in the ballroom... Do whatever you need to. Just get that scroll!

Does anyone have the scroll yet?
Post Myotismon's annoucement [audio]
Anyways, he practically gave us a hint for the scroll's powers. Lethe actually comes from Greek mythology; it's a known as the river of forgetfulness in the underworld. So I think it's safe to say he's now got a way to memory wipe anyone he likes. Damn it, we still don't have a way to find out if it's real or not.
I can see if I can distract Mr Vampire Cliche and maybe get something out of him. Anyone else have other suggestions?
Recon
Re: Recon
She had a map of the outside of the Castle she had spent hours sketching from the safety of nearby trees. At each window and entrance she had notes scribbled about what may or may not be just beyond the glass or door. Perhaps something she'd caught sight of before the door swung closed, or perhaps some furniture she'd spied through the window with her binoculars.
Every little bit helped.
To one side Charm was making a list of supplies they had so they would be able to memorize it should any be required. Thankfully the D-Terminal made storage and transport easier.
And off to the side Noir was perched in a tree watching for anyone that might sneak up on Jinx's camp. They were too close to the castle for his liking but Jinx had insisted.
Sipping some juice from a bottle she made a note on her map about a servants entrance in the back. She wasn't sure where it led but it looked dark, perhaps the cellar? Either way she had observed Digimon going in that later could be spotted through windows in the upper levels so there had to be a connecting path from that servants entrance to the rest of the castle.
And who knew how many secret passages?
Infiltration
Re: Infiltration
While she'd been honest about her intentions of being stealthy and sneaking about the manor, she'd never promised the rest of the team that she would inform them when or if she found the item. Because at the end of the day they weren't much of a team. She was hardly friends with Neku let alone the rest of them.
So clad in black she scaled the building as only a professional thief could. She had trained for years to scale walls much more difficult then this elaborate castle.
Noir was flying up above to keep an eye on security, once Jinx was inside he would join her.
Meanwhile Charm was demonstrating her own skill in second story work as her long slender tentacles and powerful hands proved efficient at seeking out cracks and crevices to grip and leverage off.
Peering through the window Jinx was pleased to see it was some kind of group sleeping quarters. For the servants perhaps? Either way the window didn't want to open on it's own.
"I could bust it?" Whispered Charm but Jinx just shook her head. Tightening her grip on the window the pink haired girl produced her D-Terminal and realized some Duct tape. A handy tool in almost any situation.
Step one required layering the tape over the window pane. Once the pane was almost completely covered she allowed Charm to strike it with her hand.
There was only the softest of cracking sounds and as Charm peeled back the tape the broken glass came with it.
With a creepy smile on her face Charm slithered in and helped Jinx slip her slender body through the newly created portal.
They drew the curtains to hide the broken window and immediately fanned out to check the room for useful items. Jinx stole some personal possessions of the staff but nothing to help them find their ultimate prize.
Noir swooped in through the closed curtains and the three crept for the door.
"OK, we're looking for some kind of storage, a safe, maybe a trophy room, maybe his bedroom. Just keep your eyes peeled and your ears sharp. You two might be able to pass off as lost but I'm guessing this is a little deep in enemy territory for any chosen."
With a curt nod from Noir and a delighted grin from Charm they peeked through the open door and into the hallway before sneaking off to explore the castle.

The shadows seem to move, but so far no Digimon has appeared. Perhaps they are waiting to see where you are heading or simply biding their time.
Where will you go next, Miss Chosen?]

So here he is, dressed in a suit, complete with a bow tie and a Yasyamon mask to conceal his obviously human face. It's a bit more formal than he's used to, but aren't appearances everything with an operation like this? The best part is, he's played the role of antagonist before, meaning that if any fellow baddies approach him, he'll just dial up the snark and prod Gabumon into playing along. It's not like he's even evolved yet.
Now if only they can sneak upstairs... That's when the real fun will begin.
Observers will notice that he's at this alone. While others worked on a plan, it seems he's here entirely out of self interest.]

Where in the world is the host? It's a little rude for him not to show face to his guests.

With two glasses of red wine he walks up to Saori, a self important sneer plastered on his face.]
I believe that this digimon must adhere to the principles of being fashionably late. The fool.
A glass of wine, my dear?

Jinx had helped him with the clothing, with pulling his hair back. But that wasn't enough to get inside. The only humans in the Digital World were Chosen after all. Terri suggested a Astramon-like beast mask- he could never pass for the demon lord, he was too small. But a preevolution? Sure, why not? There were so many alternate forms and levels and colors there was no way any one digimon knew all others. And even the idea of the demon general could be a benefit- no one would want to mess with someone that could one day become a Belphemon.
Bastemon and Growlmon were already evolved- Bastemon to smooze, Growlmon to act as Neku's personal guard. He was just small enough to fit in the door, and even as a Champion, the digihazard could be the little intimidation the ruse needed.
"You can't just look the part, love. You have to *think* like a Virus."
Neku grumbled at Terri. But she was right. As they stepped in the crowd at once put him on edge. Too many people too close. He closed his eyes, trying to *think* differently.
It was... easier then he'd like to admit. It was just remembering Before the Game and following the processes to their worst conclusions. Everyone here is pointless- and at best out to hurt you. Idiots and hangers-on. Disgust and self important distaste were easy to recall. He looked down the mask's nose at them all.
God, Joshua would get a kick outta this.
Still, it seemed to help, making his body language keep others at a distance, tsking at anyone that even came close to brushing him, Growlmon adding a low growl in warning. Anyone that tried to talk to him got curt one word answers and a dismissal.
They didn't mingle long before Bastemon returned from her work of slowly dancing with a few stronger looking foes- adding tiny mental threads to make her Helter Skelter dance more likely to be effective later, if needed. She draped herself over him, nuzzling his face.
"Having fun darling?"
"Don't do that." he didn't like her getting too handsy as Bastemon on a GOOD day.
"Hush now, I want to ask you something."
he paused, letting her whisper in his ear.
"This is a trap, obviously. We already knew that. Do you really think Jinx is going to find anything? If you were Myotismon, where would YOU hide it?"
Neku arched a brow at his partner, but decided to play along, thinking.
"If this thing really DOES have power... why would I throw this party? To trap Chosen yeah... but no one here is my friend. They're minions at best, looking to get some of my power at worst. Even if Jinx WASN'T here, some grubby weakling is gonna be searching around for it too. I wanna sniff them out. Make examples before I try any attack on my enemies."
He paused, thinking.
"Maybe it's not here at all? No, no I don't want it outta sight, it's too important. If it's real at all, and this isn't just a trap, then... He has it on him, he has to."
Bastemon patted his cheek, grinning.
"We gotta find him..."

Greetings, my precious guests. I hope that so far you have enjoyed yourselves this fine evening. The night is still very young and I am certain that the party will continue on, but in the meantime I believe it is time that we proceed to the main event. As you are all aware I found that this evening would be the perfect opportunity to not only show off my new decor, but to show you a most powerful relic that will change the course of history. Quite literally in fact.
[He snaps a finger and a pair of NeoDevimon descend from the ceiling, holding a chest between them. The pair land and Myotismon gestures at them as the lift the case.]
Behold! The Lethe Scroll, the prize of my collection of treasures. For this night only, I will put it on display for the party to bask over. It is truly a rare piece and will not likely see the light of day again...at least not within anyone's memory.
[He smirks, as if this is some clever joke.]
Oh and be aware that the NeoDevimon won't let you get too close. The Lethe scroll is best enjoyed from a distance my dear party guests and I do have eyes everywhere.
[And with that ominous declaration, Myotismon bows again and descends the stairs. Do you dare mingle to attempt to get on his good side and get closer to his precious scroll? Or will you just watch?]
The Grab!

Quietly, she turned the door knob and cracked the door open before slipping in. Volumes of books lined two of the walls while an elegant wooden desk and matching chair were in the middle. The air was a little musty but Saori knew the smell of old books when she came across it. When she took a better look at the desk, there was an opened book and next to it was a scroll encased in a glass cover.
No way. This was way too easy. Still, she had to be sure. Quietly she lifted up the cover and her fingers reached to touch the scroll. She could only hope that she picked the right one.
Chaos!

Yang wasn't sure what had gone done exactly but it looked like it was time to fight. Actually, wait, what was she worried about? She loved a good fight. The blonde stepped on her Armadillomon partner and hopped up onto the back of Grizzlymon.
"Jig is up! You know what to do Grizzlymon," Yang shouted. The Grizzlymon turned immediately towards the nearest guard, picked him up, and threw him with a roar. She'd get the chaos focused on her and help the rest of the team get out...hopefully.

Aftermath!
Prize
But once the scroll was in the chosen hands, something happened to the relic. 1's and 0's started to wrap around it, changing it into a ball of light in front of most of them.
The balls of light will show a memory of the chosen's world to each of them.]
