Who: Everyone taking part in the Adventure Time! Event.
What: Chosen trying to find their way around the changed File Island.
When: August 1st - 3rd
Where: File Island

Early in the morning, wherever they are, Chosen are tormented by data streams. They aren't very accurate data stream, so they may miss. But they ones who are hit by them will find themselves on some part of File Island, and they'll find themselves closed off from the outside world.

They'll find video and audio recordings don't work. They'll find, if they've been to the island, that some places may not appear like they always have. They'll find that this isn't quite the File Island as it was before.

Wherever they are on the island, whoever they run into, something will be constant: their digivices will blink, pointing them like a compass toward File Island's center, Infinity Mountain.

It's time to go and see what that's about.

[ooc: This will be the catch-all log for the event! Below will be threads of all the places, both basic and specific, that your characters will be able to go. The last thread will be for the Infinity Mountain event endgame, and though your characters can arrive there early, it will take place on day three of the event.

NPCs will drift through the threads, depending on where you are. For the purposes of this event, if you are not okay with NPC interaction, please say so in your thread, for example if you and someone else have a non-NPC thread idea. Otherwise, all threads are open to NPC intervention, though not all will receive it. Please also mark which day your threads take place on. And remember, have fun! The map and the ooc info can help with location issues.]

[The water washes over Centarumon and pushes him back as he yells in anger. It offsets him so much that he's pushed back to the entrance from which he came, disoriented and unable to get off an attack.]

*Jin looks to his partner with a faint smirk. With the enemy being wet, he has an idea.*

Yukito...I think I've changed my mind about letting you cool things off somewhat.

Ice Illusion!

*A blizzard whips to life in front of Yukito, dragging the temperature down from sweltering jungle heat to frigid arctic cold. Unpleasant at the best of times, but even worse to someone already covered in icy water.*

day 1

[The rainforest reminds Sonata of Funghistar, if only a little. Of course, there's no Funghi here, just wild Digimon somewhere, and while Sonata might want to explore, she's also curiously following her Digivice, while Penguinmon waddles along as usual. Chosen and Digimon still aren't on the best of terms, but their relationship is civil at best at this point, which is probably an upgrade from Sonata dragging him around everywhere.]

We should remain on the lookout for any danger-

You don't need to lecture Sonata! Sonata's been trained in how to fight if we run into trouble.

[Now with her partner standing loyally at her side, Shepard nods in greeting.]

Commander Shepard. You've already met my boyfriend, I take it?

[Monodramon nudges her hip with his nose. Shepard sighs and pats him on the head.]

This is Monodramon.

[The response is instant. Centarumon screams, rearing up in pain.

And all the while, the water on him starts to freeze, including the water on the black gear. It constricts in a way, and he thrashes, unable to do anything but slam against the wall...

...and shatter the gear in his back.

All at once, he collapses, breathing heavily and shivering.]

What... What in the world...

Chika and Biyomon both turned their attention to the other Yokomon who mentioned the other digimon, and turned to look over at them. And yep, there was definitely a human girl with them.

Well, Chika needed no prompting, and immediately started heading over to them, with Biyomon following behind. She waved at the other girl. "Umm, hey there! You wouldn't happen to know what's going on here, would you?"

And, oh look, we're already set to fight. Let's go.

[She, as well, grabs Bullmon by the horn, turning him in the direction of the noise. Thank goodness for paranoia, now they don't have to waste time digivolving.

Arcee leads her giant bull as he sadly plods behind her, head hung low. This was supposed to be a romantic get away...]

You guys owe us after this. The one time fate brings us together, you gotta get all "defend and fighty" on me.

[They'll find, in an adjacent room, a pile of machinery, though that's not nearly as interesting as what's beneath it.

It's an Andromon, seemingly unconscious and the source of the moaning. From his torso down, he's pinned by heavy steel plates, nonsensical metal objects, and pipes.

Tiny Yokomon! Juri's never seen these up close before, but gosh does she love cute Digimon.

"Cuuuute!" With a pat on Leomon's arm, he sets her down, gently, and she's just about ready to scoop the little Digimon up in her arms when she hears Chika. Oh. Well, better be professional first, whoops. "A-aum, no, sorry. We were hoping we'd find someone here who did, but it looks like we all got pulled up in data streams."

Leomon, meanwhile addresses the small Yokomon. "Juri is not a Digimon. She is a human." He's somewhat perplexed; Digimon so far have shown much knowledge of humans, what's going on?

I've been meaning to introduce the two of you, but ah, well, you know what happened. [Garrus explains as Patamon settles in to his favorite perch, namely Garrus' shoulder.]

We weren't the only ones having some trouble with our guns. To make a long story short, after some friendly competition I've been helping Yoko improve her marksmanship, just a few pointers here and there.

Chika can't help but giggle at the other girl's reaction. "Yeah. They're really adorable. But... this whole thing is weird. I mean, from what I heard data streams aren't supposed to be like that."

She moved to look at some of the Yokomon, who were coming closer to her.

Biyomon just shrugged. "I'm... obviously something different besides the data streams is going on."

Is that so?

[ Where did this obnoxious teenager come from? More importantly, why is she carrying around a large assault rifle strapped to her back?

(She'd never admit it, but it's for show mostly. Who would pick a fight with a Chosen who had a gun?)

Fine, so maybe she was outfitting it while preparing herself to make another public video message on the D-Terminal when she was snatched away, so here she is in giant heels and gun. ]

Well, if that's the case, I guess I should test that theory. [ Rin why... ]

*Yukito hesitates, letting the blizzard fade.*

You have your senses?

Curious...until a moment ago, you seemed like another feral digimon. Care to explain?

[Kovu and Lopmon jump out of the way of the...lattack, and Kovu looks at his partner.]

What is that thing?!

[Beastboy yelped flailing and turning to run only to run into Rita. The two of them fell backwards and Beastboy was left to take the full brunt of the attack]

[He sits up looking dazed and yawning stretching his arms out.]

That wasn't so...bad.

[Rita is clearly more worried and tries to drag him out of the way.]

Noooo dude...dude we should like...wait and see what he has to say.

Beastboy just...you look weird, lets get out of here.

Day 2

*After their adventure in the ruins, Jin and Yukito have managed to make it out of the rainforest in one piece and to the cliffs. It's not as hot here, but just as tiring. Which makes the old church a welcome, if unexpected, sight.*

Hey Jin, look! It's a building! You think it has chairs?

Benches are more likely. But you can't be telling me you're tired already.

Well excuse me for not having your giant legs. I've gotta climb the stuff you just step right on over!

Aren't digimon supposed to be more durable than humans?

You fight a Centarumon and we'll see how well you take tromping through a forest and climbing hills and cliffs!

*Jin sighs, shakes his head, and looks at his digivice. He's still not entirely sure where it's leading them, but they have covered a lot of ground since yesterday, so...*

Alright, we can stop and rest. Just keep in mind that we aren't spending the night here.

*With surprising energy for someone who was just complaining about how tired his legs were, Yukito runs off toward the church.*

day 3 | end

Night's falling, and as it does, whatever Chosen are there - or are arriving - will start to see something, a scene wispy and see-through, ghosts of the past.

They might recognize some of the kids, the Chosen, but some of them younger, like Koushirou. They stand looking up at an odd castle at the top of the mountain, which is very much there, and Black Gears swarm toward the building, resulting in a Devimon, much larger than any in existence, rising from the top.

And no matter what the new Chosen do or say, whatever attacks or comments thrown at the original Chosen or the virus Digimon, they will continue on, as if they haven't heard anything.

[ooc: You have your choice of whichever you want to watch. The first is the scene in Japanese, the second in English. Anyone on the island can get in a reaction tag if they'd like, going to about 3:18 on the Japanese or 12:35 on the English. The next NPC tag will cover the rest of the battle.]

[Centarumon grunts, trying to rise to his hooves and being...unable to, for the moment. He supports himself against the wall, breathing heavily.]

It's the effect of Devimon's Black Gears... It must be, I couldn't think, or do anything of my own accord.

[He attempts once again to rise, but he only stumbles more.]

"Oh, of course something weird's happening," Juri replies matter-of-fact, as if saying of course water is wet. "But that was definitely a data stream that grabbed me and Leomon. It looked like one, and..."

She looks to her partner, who nods in affirmation. "It felt like one as well. It seems something used the data streams to put us here, though it's obviously not the only problem."

*Jin walks forward to help support the large digimon, putting his own tall stature and broad shoulders to work.*

Brainwashing...and Devimon? Why don't you come outside where it's still warm and explain everything you know?

[Wheeljack's soon to follow, giving You's horn a little shove in the direction, as if to get her moving as well. With that, he takes point too, keeping his guard up just in case any one less friendly decided to pop around the corner.

You can only gaze at his back in frustration. Sprocket wasn't the only one wanting that romantic getaway. Just...SOME sort of free time would be nice!]

I know what you mean. Can't even get a break with everything happening all at once!

[Wheeljack keeps silent, peeking his head around the corner and into the room. He can't say he expected the machinery to be piled up like that, nor did he expect an Andromon. Probably the Andromon even less.]

Guess someone forgot to call for cleanup.

Guess someone isn't a Wrecker.

[haha, see, she remembered the saying.]

Come on. By the look of things, we are cleanup.

[Sprocket perks up, mimicking the sounds of construction vehicles as he begins scooping up metal plates and other scrap metals in his horns. He's almost a little too eager to help if it means acting ridiculous.]

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

Should get...whoevermon out of here in no time.

[That gets a small smirk out of him. He's flattered you actually paid attention to that. Or...as flattered as Wheeljack can get. He gives her a playful nudge, stepping forward and tilting his head to You.]

Go on, help your...date.

[You seems to light up at that, leaping over to help him. Her horns aren't nearly as good at picking up, so she's going to go for the 'shove everything everywhere' approach.]

Yeah! And call me...Sweepmon!

[Okay that was bad. Meanwhile, Wheeljack's working his way over to Andromon, trying to get a closer look.]

[While Sprocket cleans (and playfully chases after Sweepmon when he finds the time), Arcee walks over towards Wheeljack and takes a peek.]

What do you think it is?

[Clearly it's some sort of digiguy, but he's metal. That makes Arcee extremely jealous curious over the matter. She'd also like to know what the hell happened here, she's really hoping ceiling collapses aren't common here.]

Chika nods. "Yeah. This is my first time getting sucked up by a Data Stream. It's not something that I'm really used too."

Biyomon nodded, moving closer to Leomon and Juri. "They didn't have them in my Digital World," he added, before moving to stretch his wings. "I don't get how anyone can really do anything if those are around all the time. If this happens a lot I can't believe that this place can even have villages or cities."
