Just in Time for the Movies.

Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting August 4th, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.

That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!

With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

A Dark Field.

Basically it's a hole that opens up in the world and leads into nothingness. You'll know it if you ever see it, and if you do ever see it just. Please, don't fall in.

[His reply is dripping with sarcasm]

Right. I'll add mysterious voids that lead into nothingness to my list of things to be on the lookout for.

[...Wow when even Ed can tell... Well done.]

I'm serious. These wounds are from being in one.

[Even if Elecmon looks like he's going to sit put, Minato's DORUmon has resolved to keep an eye on him. Digimon shouldn't cause their partners trouble! And as such, she doesn't quite trust him to not flee. Meanwhile, Minato hands over his music player.]

It won't even turn on.

[Kaito shifts a bit, so he's sitting cross-legged on the ground. Elecmon ambles over and plops down next to him, popping the D-Terminal open so he can fiddle with some buttons]

I know you're serious. But think about it for a bit-- I just got here, some bratty red rabbit who's supposed to be my "partner" stole a device that's supposed to be mine, and no one's been able to show me the exit yet. And now you're telling me I have to keep an eye out for giant voids of nothingness?

Oh, whine more, why don't you.

[With a scowl, Kaito brings his hand down on Elecmon's head and gives him a noogie]

[With a frown, Kaito pokes and prods at the MP3 player, turning it around in his hands]

'M guessing you've already checked the batteries too, huh?

...Oh.

I guess you're right. Sorry. I didn't think of it like that.

[He nods a little, then frowns.] But there isn't an exit... at least, not one that anyone knows about.

[Kaito swiftly cuts Elecmon off by shoving his hand in the Digimon's face]

So I've been told. But that just means you guys haven't found it yet.

[His grumpiness fades a bit as he talks, replaced with a bit of confidence]

For every entrance into some place, there are at least three different exits.

I have, it was fully charged. I suppose a place called the "Digital World" can be unkind to electronics.

...I guess. And people have been known to vanish randomly, but it's just that--random.

Some of my friends did too...

[He lets out a small, half-laugh]

Haa. You think it'd be the exact opposite, with a name like the "Digital World."

-- vanish? Vanish and go where?

[That's just about as worrying as vast chasms of nothingness]

That's the weird thing--nobody knows. But their digimon go there too, so it's probably not 'out.'

[There's a moment of contemplative silence before he speaks up again]

Y'know, with everything I'm learning about this place, I feel like I've been dragged straight into a Saturday morning cartoon.

I guess? I mean, I don't know much about cartoon shows never really had time to watch them or anything but it could very well be like one of them.

...what are they like?

[replying lightly]

Oh, y'know, some unsuspecting hero is dragged into a quest to save the world. Supernatural powers are usually involved. Sometimes weird monsters that act as familiars are, too.

[jerks a thumb towards Elecmon]

[Kaito blinks a few times, before clarifying slowly]

[The reply comes just as slowly.]

[That earns him a Look from Kaito]

It was a question that prompted an either-or answer, not a yes or not.

But the answer isn't either-or, and you didn't give me an all of the above..? H-how am I supposed to answer that?

C'mon, you could've just said both!

[He can't help but laugh at that too.]

What kind of-- uh "world"-- did you come from if your life is like a superhero cartoon?
