Just in Time for the Movies.
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting August 4th, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.
That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!
With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

What stands out the most though, is denial. Denial that this is happening, that she's actually alive again; she had her second chance already- she doesn't deserve a third, not after her failures as a magical girl and teacher.
As she stumbles out of the Terminal Room, a Salamon races to keep up with her, evidently her partner with the way it addresses her.]
W-Wait up, Miss Mami! If you read the letter, it'll explain everything, I promise!

outside the terminal room
Once the small bear pauses, out in fresh air and sunlight, Ratchet snatches his hand back.] Would you stop for one second?
It can be pretty overwhelming at first...but I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. Like all the others! [But his new partner isn't to the fitting in part yet. He is, in fact, still quite settled into the overwhelmed part. He's not having a heart attack, is he?] Are you...okay?
[Ratchet puts his hands on his knees and takes a few deep, steadying breaths.] No. I'm afraid I am not all right.
...Do you need a doctor?
I am a doc--nevermind.

"Pretty positive."
"Positive?"
"Positive!"
"You know they say only fools are positive."
"Are you positive?"
"Positive!"
Harley blinked at that and then grinned as she realized that the fluffy little plush toy looking monster had just pulled a fast one on her. He grinned smugly and she stood up throwing her head back and cackling wildly.
"Alright, you can stay!"
"Gee thanks. But for the record you need me more then I need you."
"Uh huh, you just keep telling yourself that."
She scooped up the Digimon by his belt and began skipping along swinging him along like a new handbag while he flailed and shouted in protest.
Clearly these two were off to a great start.
at the park
[But to Fuko, she was perfectly normal Fuko.]
Fuko? Fuuuko.
[Her partner, an Peguinmon, had been trying to get Fuko’s attention for awhile now. The girl was much too enthralled in her carving, too determined to make it just right. Even though her hands were starting to hurt and Tomoya would probably start yelling at her if he were here.]
There, all done. [Penguinmon cocked her head in confusion before Fuko shoved the carving in the Digimon’s face.] Here you go.
O-oh. Thank you. [Penguinmon blushed, her first present from her partner. Maybe Fuko did like her afterall, and she was just shy.] Such a pretty star.
It's not a star. It's a starfish. [Fuko stated with the utmost certainty as she was already working on another carving.]
Eh? [Shock of all shocks, Penguinmon was taken a little aback by the sudden statement.]
It’s a starfish. [She reitterated.] Why would I be making something as silly as a star?
Star carvings are silly? [The Digimon was even more confused now. But Fuko nodded a sagely nod.]
Yes of course they are. I mean, just look at it. Starfish are much cuter than stars, don’t you think? [Fuko said with a smile, before falling into a cuteness overload. Maybe you can see the starfish and sparkles floating around her. No argument was going to convince her otherwise.]
I-I guess so- Eh? Fuko? [Penguinmon shoved at Fuko a little but no dice; Fuko was completely gone at this point. Only a sudden scene shift would break her out of this.]

Outside the terminal
So, let's see if I've got all this straight. There's some screwed up gates or something, which are causing a bunch of different worlds to get squished together and this one, in its infinite wisdom is bringing in a bunch of different people, taking away any awesome powers they might have and asking them to lend a hand.
*The Coronamon following after him nods, tail flicking back and forth.*
You're our prophesied heroes, chosen by the world itself to save everyone.
Kid...if there's anything I've learned, it's that saving everyone ain't easy.
*Coronamon droops slightly, but Dante holds up a gauntleted finger.*
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try, so points for spirit.
*Coronamon beams happily at that.*
Hey, does that mean you're some kind of hero?
Lesse...closed four hellgates, kicked the ass of the king of demons, saved the world more times than I can count...yup, sounds about right. Now come on, it's showtime.

In the city
Yes?
[DORUmon shuffles her feet and twiddles her claws a bit.]
Um...I was just wondering. What's that thing around your neck?
This? This is my music player. Here, try it.
[He removes the lanyard around his neck and puts it over DORUmon's, then takes the earphones and puts each one over her ears. Then he takes the MP3 player and pushes the play button.
There's a long moment of silence.]
I don't hear anything.
[Blinking, Minato takes a closer look at the object and suddenly his expression changes to one of grave sadness.]
Ah...it's broken.

on the city streets
Nyeh, nyeh~ How am I supposed to partner with a Chosen who is soooooo slow and can't even keep up with me?
[The teenager scowls and swipes at Elecmon, fingertips grazing the Digimon's fur, though he just barely misses snatching the small creature's ears by mere centimeters. The Elecmon leaps out of the way and sticks his tongue out at his partner, expression mocking]
Who the heck said I want to partner with a brat like you?! Get back here, you little--!
[It was very rare for Kaito to find himself in a position where he was the chaser, not the chased, and he had to admit. . . he wasn't exactly fond of it. Especially not when the chase was happening while he was still trying to process his new surroundings. He was used to dealing with weird thing-- witches, tiny eye robots, mad scientists, pirates-- but an entirely new world inhabited by strange monster-like creatures (who were apparently kleptomaniacs) was something even this great magician hadn't prepared himself for.]
That device is supposed to be mine!
I told you if you kept calling me Bunny I'd take it from you!
You kept calling me Scrappy!
Have you looked at yourself in a mirror lately? Bet you didn't even brush your hair today!
[This song an dance continues, with both the new Chosen and the Digimon exchanging insults as they continue to dart around, duck underneath, and dodge obstacles in the street. Perhaps they might run into a Chosen or a Chosen's Digimon lingering around the area if they're not careful. . .]

outside the terminal room
Misfire, I can't help you if you won't listen to me!
[And finally, Misfire answers,]
Sorry for not wanting to talk to a -- a worm. You know you're a worm, right?
Wormmon!
Yeah that's a bit of a mouthful, I'm just gonna call you a worm. I-I musta just had a bad nip of Energon, this is all one big hallucination and I'm gonna wake up with Spinister's gun in my face because the ceiling in my room's makin' weird noises or something.
Misfire, this is real. [The Wormmon's voice grows softer and a bit more shy.] I-I understand that this might be, um, overwhelming, but you have to trust me, alright?
[Misfire doesn't reply, seemingly having gone back to ignoring her. She sighs, a bit wistfully.]

INside the terminal room
[He hasn't left the room. At least he's out from under the table, but, he hasn't even moved toward the door. What the animal said to him barely registered, in light of the very human hands he saw, when he lifted them to defend himself. When he tried to fly, to get out of the way, nothing happened. He had no wings.]
[Fight-or-Flight mixed with very human adrenaline, and he wedged himself into a corner of the room, decidedly not adapting to this very well, and making no move to do as directed. Either to put his hand on the table or to leave the room.]
[The door is cracked open. He can see some shadow of something moving outside.]
[Which honestly makes him want to stay in here all the more.]
[This isn't what he wanted. This isn't the life he wanted... how is he supposed to be content, to live, like this?]
...
[He'll probably poke his head out eventually, but for the most part, he seems to be trying to scramble further into the corner, away from the shadow lurking on the other side of the door.]
