Just in Time for the Movies.
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting August 4th, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.
That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!
With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

What stands out the most though, is denial. Denial that this is happening, that she's actually alive again; she had her second chance already- she doesn't deserve a third, not after her failures as a magical girl and teacher.
As she stumbles out of the Terminal Room, a Salamon races to keep up with her, evidently her partner with the way it addresses her.]
W-Wait up, Miss Mami! If you read the letter, it'll explain everything, I promise!

that's not much taller than her. Waver had come to see who else was arriving when he'd felt the earthquake, but at the sudden surprise he'd fallen backwards and nearly landed on the Palmon walking with him.]I-I'm sorry-- [He stammered out an apology as the plant Digimon gave him an incredulous look, muttering:]
Seriously, she runs into you and you're sorry? You should work on that. [Waver ignored her remarks, getting to his feet and dusting himself off.]
Are you okay? You aren't hurt or anything, are you?
no subject
I... I, ah...
Oh, thank goodness! You finally stopped. [And poor Salamon finally catches up to Mami, only to notice Waver and Palmon.] Oh...

outside the terminal room
Once the small bear pauses, out in fresh air and sunlight, Ratchet snatches his hand back.] Would you stop for one second?
It can be pretty overwhelming at first...but I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. Like all the others! [But his new partner isn't to the fitting in part yet. He is, in fact, still quite settled into the overwhelmed part. He's not having a heart attack, is he?] Are you...okay?
[Ratchet puts his hands on his knees and takes a few deep, steadying breaths.] No. I'm afraid I am not all right.
...Do you need a doctor?
I am a doc--nevermind.

Out on yet another grocery run, because food never seems to stock itself, Arcee has just finished and is finally headed back to her apartment. She wants to get there fast and it shows, trying her best to ignore everything else and focus on her target. Things have been pretty hectic ever since the whole "transported to a power plant out of nowhere" thing and she'd really like to get back on schedule.
Sprocket follows behind her, currently in Bullmon form so their bags of food can dangle off of his horns. Really, for a bull, he's the perfect pack mule.
Now to get past the Main Terminal, which seems busy today for...whatever reason, Arcee doesn't care. It has nothing to do with putting away groceries.]
I really need to find a better mode of transportation...
If only I were BullWheelmon...
[And then, like a flash, Arcee's world exploded the moment she COULD HAVE SWORN she heard someone familiar. She stops dead in her tracks, causing Sprocket to bump into her lightly and look up in surprise.
Stopping, why? Why stopping?]
What's the hold up?!
[Arcee manages to spot the older gentleman who looks like he's having breathing problems. Her
sparkheart sinks at the sight and she can't help but hurry over. The possibility that Ratchet might not even recognize her doesn't even cross her mind, or even the other possibility that this could be someone else entirely.Still, she's pretty confident that it's him. Even after being her for months, there's no way she'd forget that voice.]

Impmon scours across the place when he spots Ratchet and the bear. Ugh, what nerds. The digimon realizes the best service he can give to these two is giving them a proper welcome.
By plopping right down in front of them, a sarcastic smirk across his face.]

"Pretty positive."
"Positive?"
"Positive!"
"You know they say only fools are positive."
"Are you positive?"
"Positive!"
Harley blinked at that and then grinned as she realized that the fluffy little plush toy looking monster had just pulled a fast one on her. He grinned smugly and she stood up throwing her head back and cackling wildly.
"Alright, you can stay!"
"Gee thanks. But for the record you need me more then I need you."
"Uh huh, you just keep telling yourself that."
She scooped up the Digimon by his belt and began skipping along swinging him along like a new handbag while he flailed and shouted in protest.
Clearly these two were off to a great start.
at the park
[But to Fuko, she was perfectly normal Fuko.]
Fuko? Fuuuko.
[Her partner, an Peguinmon, had been trying to get Fuko’s attention for awhile now. The girl was much too enthralled in her carving, too determined to make it just right. Even though her hands were starting to hurt and Tomoya would probably start yelling at her if he were here.]
There, all done. [Penguinmon cocked her head in confusion before Fuko shoved the carving in the Digimon’s face.] Here you go.
O-oh. Thank you. [Penguinmon blushed, her first present from her partner. Maybe Fuko did like her afterall, and she was just shy.] Such a pretty star.
It's not a star. It's a starfish. [Fuko stated with the utmost certainty as she was already working on another carving.]
Eh? [Shock of all shocks, Penguinmon was taken a little aback by the sudden statement.]
It’s a starfish. [She reitterated.] Why would I be making something as silly as a star?
Star carvings are silly? [The Digimon was even more confused now. But Fuko nodded a sagely nod.]
Yes of course they are. I mean, just look at it. Starfish are much cuter than stars, don’t you think? [Fuko said with a smile, before falling into a cuteness overload. Maybe you can see the starfish and sparkles floating around her. No argument was going to convince her otherwise.]
I-I guess so- Eh? Fuko? [Penguinmon shoved at Fuko a little but no dice; Fuko was completely gone at this point. Only a sudden scene shift would break her out of this.]

But Yuuko wasn't here anymore. Nor were Orine or Makoto.
Still, that doesn't discourage Sonata from at least holding out hope that she'll see someone else she knows- maybe Suzuko, or even her sister. Penguinmon's been doing his best to discourage Sonata from getting her hopes up toomuch- he doesn't need her moping around the place again, even if he misses when she wasn't speaking to him.
As Chosen and penguin make their way through the park, Sonata has to do a double-take when she spies Fuuko with her own Penguinmon. As far as Sonata knew, hers was the only one she had ever seen.]

[Who should happen along Fuko but Juri! Juri with a little paper bag full of pastries; she'd found a shop and it made her nostalgic for the Matsuda Bakery. So, you know, it's only natural. Leomon follows along, dutifully. She doesn't like to be separated from her partner, for, well, obvious reasons.
A nice day in the park with pastries and oh dear this girl seems frozen in an adorable position. Maybe if Juri just...]

Outside the terminal
So, let's see if I've got all this straight. There's some screwed up gates or something, which are causing a bunch of different worlds to get squished together and this one, in its infinite wisdom is bringing in a bunch of different people, taking away any awesome powers they might have and asking them to lend a hand.
*The Coronamon following after him nods, tail flicking back and forth.*
You're our prophesied heroes, chosen by the world itself to save everyone.
Kid...if there's anything I've learned, it's that saving everyone ain't easy.
*Coronamon droops slightly, but Dante holds up a gauntleted finger.*
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try, so points for spirit.
*Coronamon beams happily at that.*
Hey, does that mean you're some kind of hero?
Lesse...closed four hellgates, kicked the ass of the king of demons, saved the world more times than I can count...yup, sounds about right. Now come on, it's showtime.

Yes?
[DORUmon shuffles her feet and twiddles her claws a bit.]
Um...I was just wondering. What's that thing around your neck?
This? This is my music player. Here, try it.
[He removes the lanyard around his neck and puts it over DORUmon's, then takes the earphones and puts each one over her ears. Then he takes the MP3 player and pushes the play button.
There's a long moment of silence.]
I don't hear anything.
[Blinking, Minato takes a closer look at the object and suddenly his expression changes to one of grave sadness.]
Ah...it's broken.

Re: In the city
[For now, Kaito had settled on carrying his Digimon by the scruff of his neck as he wandered through Terminal Tokyo's streets, trying to memorize his new surroundings as much as he could]
You're gonna get teeth marks all over it. Geez. . .
[Elecmon merely grumps in reply, but by then Kaito had spotted Minato and had turned his attention towards the other Chosen instead]

on the city streets
Nyeh, nyeh~ How am I supposed to partner with a Chosen who is soooooo slow and can't even keep up with me?
[The teenager scowls and swipes at Elecmon, fingertips grazing the Digimon's fur, though he just barely misses snatching the small creature's ears by mere centimeters. The Elecmon leaps out of the way and sticks his tongue out at his partner, expression mocking]
Who the heck said I want to partner with a brat like you?! Get back here, you little--!
[It was very rare for Kaito to find himself in a position where he was the chaser, not the chased, and he had to admit. . . he wasn't exactly fond of it. Especially not when the chase was happening while he was still trying to process his new surroundings. He was used to dealing with weird thing-- witches, tiny eye robots, mad scientists, pirates-- but an entirely new world inhabited by strange monster-like creatures (who were apparently kleptomaniacs) was something even this great magician hadn't prepared himself for.]
That device is supposed to be mine!
I told you if you kept calling me Bunny I'd take it from you!
You kept calling me Scrappy!
Have you looked at yourself in a mirror lately? Bet you didn't even brush your hair today!
[This song an dance continues, with both the new Chosen and the Digimon exchanging insults as they continue to dart around, duck underneath, and dodge obstacles in the street. Perhaps they might run into a Chosen or a Chosen's Digimon lingering around the area if they're not careful. . .]
Re: on the city streets
[Except then Kaito happened... and yep. That sure is a chosen your digimon just bowled over in the act of jumping over a bench in this merry chase scene. Ed goes falling off of it and flat on his face, dizzied by the force of hitting the ground.]
W-weeehh.... Did somebody get the number of that truck..?

Watch it- If you two don't slow the fuck down, I'm going to have Gazimon paralyze you both!
Aren't you forgetting I don't take orders from you?
Oh, don't even pretend you aren't going to do it.
Fine, but only 'cause I like getting a chance to shoot at people.
Now that we've established this for the umpteenth time, can we get back to yelling at the shitheads who actually deserve it?

Misfire, I can't help you if you won't listen to me!
[And finally, Misfire answers,]
Sorry for not wanting to talk to a -- a worm. You know you're a worm, right?
Wormmon!
Yeah that's a bit of a mouthful, I'm just gonna call you a worm. I-I musta just had a bad nip of Energon, this is all one big hallucination and I'm gonna wake up with Spinister's gun in my face because the ceiling in my room's makin' weird noises or something.
Misfire, this is real. [The Wormmon's voice grows softer and a bit more shy.] I-I understand that this might be, um, overwhelming, but you have to trust me, alright?
[Misfire doesn't reply, seemingly having gone back to ignoring her. She sighs, a bit wistfully.]

A part of him was a bit terrified but another part was curious, the scout wanting to explore and figure out what this place had to offer. He knew he needed to see if he could find any of his teammates, by some stroke of luck, but..well..that city was looking pretty interesting..
Beside him, Hawkmon had her wings tucked behind her back, waiting for her partner to do something--anything, only to glance off to the side as she catches movement.
Oh look, some other newcomers.]
Smokescreen. Perhaps you should try and make friends with someone else that's new.
What? [Glancing down at her then towards whatever caught her attention, Smokescreen blinks.] ..I guess I could. But what if this is all just a trick or something?
It's not a trick--haven't you been listening to anything you've been told? This is real!

INside the terminal room
[He hasn't left the room. At least he's out from under the table, but, he hasn't even moved toward the door. What the animal said to him barely registered, in light of the very human hands he saw, when he lifted them to defend himself. When he tried to fly, to get out of the way, nothing happened. He had no wings.]
[Fight-or-Flight mixed with very human adrenaline, and he wedged himself into a corner of the room, decidedly not adapting to this very well, and making no move to do as directed. Either to put his hand on the table or to leave the room.]
[The door is cracked open. He can see some shadow of something moving outside.]
[Which honestly makes him want to stay in here all the more.]
[This isn't what he wanted. This isn't the life he wanted... how is he supposed to be content, to live, like this?]
...
[He'll probably poke his head out eventually, but for the most part, he seems to be trying to scramble further into the corner, away from the shadow lurking on the other side of the door.]

Some things require a delicate sensitive touch. Impmon lacks that touch. So instead he plops down in front of the door, kicking his feet back and forth, waiting for the awkward newcomer to pope his head back out.
So intent on messing with this guy he completely miss the digimon...or the giant bandaged teen walking towards him.]
Hey buddy, watcha doing?
[Leatherhead immediately pauses to see Impmon...just laying there. God Impmon, you're gonna be the death of him.]

When they get there, it seems to be cleared out for the most part...except for one lonely Keramon standing in the center.]
Welp. Let's go.
Wait!
[The Gazimon hops off him, hurrying over to the Keramon and sitting on her haunches.]
Hey! Are you still waiting for your partner? Is he here...?
