Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.

That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!

With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

I just- I can't believe that this is all really happening... if anyone deserves another chance at life, it isn't someone like me.

[Waver paused, carefully sorting through his thoughts before speaking. He hardly knew this girl, so he couldn't speak to what kind of person she was. But Mami seemed nice enough, and more importantly she was distressed. So he chose his words as carefully as he could.]

L-look, I...don't know much about who should or shouldn't get a second chance. And I know you probably don't want my opinion, but...they keep calling us 'Chosen'. Like some force is going through all these different worlds picking out people based on some prerequisites or algorithms I don't understand. A lot of us seem ill-suited to be chosen for anything, but...I feel like we're here because this place really does need us specifically, not just some random group thrown together from as many parallel universes.

You seem like a nice person, Mami. I can't say whether or not you or any of us deserve to be here, but I don't think arguing or questioning the world will accomplish much.

[Mami listens to Waver as he speaks, though she still has her doubts about being remotely near fit to be a 'Chosen', as Salamon put it. She was a defender of justice before, and look where it led her? Her selfishness put others into despair.]

... Salamon said something along those lines as well. [A small laugh; while the puppy-like Digimon might not have thought Mami heard a word she said, the ex-Puella Magi had caught the bit about being here to help save the world.] While I still believe I'm the least qualified person to be deserving of being here... I suppose there really is no use in protesting, is there?

[If this is punishment for her selfishness then so be it.]

Afraid not. I'm sure people have probably tried putting up a fight already. [He smiled a little awkwardly, trying to calm her down while being a little uneasy himself.]

I can imagine. [She knows Kyouko or Sayaka would.

... But it's best not to let her mind dwell on them right now, and instead, she forces a small smile.]

... I suppose I should apologize for my previous behavior, then. Allow me to re-introduce myself; my name is Mami Tomoe, and I'm a third-year student at Mitakihara Middle.

Don't worry about it. [He waved a hand dismissively, trying not to make her meltdown seem like anymore of a big deal than she wanted to.]

I'm Waver Velvet, a student at the Clock Tower. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Does that mean you're alright now, Miss Mami...?

Yes, I apologize for making you worry, Salamon. [Obv. this is a lie, but Mami's good at faking it as always.]

There should be a letter on your D-Terminal explaining the situation better than I can. And if you tell me your room number from that we can help you find the apartments.

The D-Terminal? [She hadn't looked at it ever since picking up the two things the Culumon wanted her to take, but she does now, scanning over the note, before finding her room assignment.]

Room one on the first floor, it would seem.

That's the same apartment I'm in. I...guess that kind of simplifies things.

Is that so? What a coincidence. I'll admit, I'm not used to rooming with others; I lived in my apartment by myself back in Mitakihara.

I'm a little more used to living by myself too. If it helps at all, there's only three of us. I don't take up all that much room, and Hollyleaf seems pretty nice once you get to know her a little.

I see... Well, in that case, I hope that we can all get along, then.
