Just in Time for the Movies.
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting August 4th, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.
That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!
With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

When Sprocket shrinks in size, body dramatically changing, that certainly gets Ratchet staring. How did--what-- While Bearmon just makes an impressed noise. He wants to be able to do that someday! But better not to push the topic yet, not so soon.]
Isn't that always the case? We never have good answers for anything, and the few answers we do get are...poor at best. You would think we'd be used to this by now.

[Calm down, Arcee.]
...Go ahead. Sit down.
[She motions to her tiny dinning table while she begins putting food in its proper place.]
I'll get you some water.

[He doesn't sit, but approaches as she's putting things away. Settles a hand on her shoulder. She's trying to settle him down, but he's gotten her so wound up. It's not unusual for her to try and diffuse a situation by being as blunt as possible, but he does feel a little guilty for putting her into this aggitated state.
To be honest, Ratchet didn't know what he was going to say. He's never been one for comforting words, unless it's about someone's recovery. So it's almost good that he gets distracted from his words.
Now that they're here, somewhere out of the way, somewhere they can talk, he's trying to clear his head, sort everything out. Now he's considering how this is Arcee. It's her voice, of course. Her memories, her attitude. Even, now that he looks at her, really looks, he can see a similarity in the general build. She looks like she could sneak around, do a few acrobatic leaps, and smack someone unsuspectingly in the face.
He supposes, if he uses his imagination, he could see where some of the more human features come from. Her eyes, too, still have that bright blue, and, looking close, some of that purple as well. Still, even though he knows he's talking to Arcee, just as she knows she's talking to Ratchet, to see her now like is--much like everything else about this trip--jarring.
To say nothing of himself. He hasn't even seen a mirror yet, and he can't do any self-diagnosis, get any readings or feedback that he normally would.
His hand tentatively slides from her shoulder down her arm, marveling at the change in sensation--not smooth metal now, but fabric and skin. Her fingers are still long and flexible and almost dainty, especially compared to his own hand holding hers.
In Ratchet's mind, it's all scientific curiosity and wonder. At least to set aside his anger, his concern. It's not his intent to be weird about her, but, c'mon, she's been through the whole human body thing, too.
On the other hand, to Bearmon, it looks like something else. He's turned his cap around, pulling the rim of it down over his eyes, backing out of the room.]
I-I'll give you two some space...
What? [He blinks, looking back up, startled out of his reverie. Very confused for a moment before--
Her hand is immediately dropped, and Ratchet is also immediately out of her space, hands up.] What, no no no, that's not--Bearmon, get back here!

Her eyes double in size as she realizes what is happening. No one's...ever really touched her like that before. Or at all. The most she's ever gotten were playful nudges from Wheeljack and even then it only lasted less than a second. She never had an opportunity to realize it before, but touch feels a lot stranger when you're human.
But not only that, it actually calms her down. Her mind soon floods with thoughts, what was she doing? Ratchet just got here and here she was hoping that he'd get over it the moment they got to her apartment. Her apartment. She shouldn't even have an apartment, this is ridiculous.
Guilt begins to set in. Was she rushing him? Now that she thinks about it, she had to rush when she got here. She was all alone, after all. Trapped in a city, trapped in a body, surrounded mostly by teenage children. She had absolutely no one to relate to and explaining herself felt like an uphill battle. She had no choice but to "just get used to it". ...Which was exactly what she just described as giving up earlier. That realization hits her hard and she no longer looks surprised as Ratchet continues to study her arm. Instead, she only looks sad and disappointed in herself. This city changed her so much...
So go ahead, Ratchet. Take your time, explore her, erm, arm. She won't say anything or let it bother her, this is a completely normal reaction and she realizes it now. She's just glad she could be here for him during what she knows is a difficult time.
...
And then Bearmon had to ruin it.
The moment her hand is free, she goes back to her irritated state and grabs two glasses in a huff. WELL, SO MUCH FOR THAT.]
Think I'm gonna need something to drink, too...
[She then starts grumbling to herself, although what she's saying is anyone's guess.]

Go. Sit. Stay quiet. Please. [That 'please' is ground out and almost doesn't even make it out of his mouth.
Thankfully for all, Bearmon does as he's told, climbing up onto one of the seats and looking very distraught. Ratchet, hat still in hand, turns back to Arcee and clears his throat, though doesn't meet her eye. Awwwkward, Bearmon. You made things super awkward.]
A drink would be fine. And perhaps at some point I should take a look in a reflective surface.
no subject
Oh dear.]
Might need to go somewhere else for that.
[As Arcee removed all her mirrors for...personal reasons. Don't expect her to explain, Ratchet, she refuses to.
Instead, human lesson number one. She walks over and hands him one of the glasses, mentally preparing herself at the off chance this somehow turns horrible.]
Whatever you do, don't breathe while you try to down it. Trust me. I'm not responsible for any mess you make.

[Oh boy, lessons in being human. Reading up on them isn't anything like actually being one, and he raises an eyebrow at her warnings. Certainly won't ignore them, of course. Well, here goes nothing.
To his credit, he doesn't choke or sputter, but he does make a face.]
It's a wonder human even managed to evolve as far as they have. [Mutter mumble can't even cycle their own air properly grumble.]
no subject
[Oh right, sleeping is a new thing now, too. The more this goes on, the more impressed she is that Wheeljack and Bulkhead were able to figure this stuff out on their own.
But hey! Ratchet passed the water test, at least. That's...something.]
If you think that's bad, you're not gonna like anything else. Eating and drinking's the "fun" part.
no subject
[Besides, since when does Ratchet like anything, anyway?]
Arcee...how long have you been here to understand what's going on, at least as much as you do?
no subject
[Again she sounds bitter. Her lip even curls slightly as she attempts to recall the exact time.
...Sadly, she hasn't really been keeping track.]
Four? Five months? You really stop caring after awhile, you just want it to be over with.

This place doesn't like to play by the rules when it comes to time. I don't blame you if you don't believe me right away, but yeah. It's been awhile.
