Just in Time for the Movies.

What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

Last month, there was no earthquake signalling new arrivals.

That's not a pattern; the ground quakes, the chutes in the Terminal Room activate, and Culumon trembles with excitement. There are so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners have arrived!

With Chosen disappearing every now and then, fresh faces will be very helpful.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

[Minato had spent about half an hour playing with Culumon, then he left and met DORUmon for the first time, who didn't seem to know what to make of him first, but now they were walking happily along, side by side. He couldn't help but notice his new companion glancing up at him in curiosity.]

Yes?

[DORUmon shuffles her feet and twiddles her claws a bit.]

Um...I was just wondering. What's that thing around your neck?

This? This is my music player. Here, try it.

[He removes the lanyard around his neck and puts it over DORUmon's, then takes the earphones and puts each one over her ears. Then he takes the MP3 player and pushes the play button.

There's a long moment of silence.]

I don't hear anything.

[Blinking, Minato takes a closer look at the object and suddenly his expression changes to one of grave sadness.]

Ah...it's broken.

[leaderkun]

[Yu is walking by, carrying Elecmon in his arms. Which is not easy as he is not a small Rookie. He hears the comment about the mp3 player being broken right as he passes Minato. So he pauses, pulling out his phone and checking]

My phone is dead too...

[orphism]

No hope of calling anyone either then.

[He retrieves his things from DORUmon, even if they don't work, he still feels awkward without them.]

That's a shame. You look very cute with them DORUmon-chan.

[She tries to hide her face in her paws gklsjeglsjeg]

[leaderkun]

He's right, they are really cute. Right Elecmon?

[his partner hides his face against his chest, ears back and tail sparkling with energy]

Yu.....

[While their partners are doing their best to hide in plain sight, Minato scratches his chin in an exaggerated manner.]

Do all digimon act like that?

[leaderkun]

I don't really know, these are the first I've really talked to.

[A pause, he's being rude isn't he? Yu offers a hand]

Yu Narukami.

[orphism]

[What is society without manners? Minato takes the offered hand.]

Minato Arisato.

[leaderkun]

Let me guess, you just arrived too? You seem pretty calm.

[orphism]

Panicking helps nothing.

[There's also Other Reasons, but that's not something he's willing to share with someone he's just met.]

DORUmon has also been very kind to me.

[Said DORUmon has recovered from the bout of embarrassment only to be sent to another one, looking down at the ground and scratching it with her feet.]

[leaderkun]

No need to be shy. It's a very nice thing to do.

[He kneels, offering DORUmon his hand this time, letting Elcmon jump down and hide behind his leg]

[orphism]

[He wants to do that shakey thing right? Um, okay. DORUmon reaches forward.

And reaches.

...her arm is a little short for this particular gesture.

So she hops forward and that does the trick as her paw lands in Yu's hand.]

[leaderkun]

[Oh no she's cute. Yu shakes her paw]

It's nice to meet you, DORUmon.

[Elecmon watches this curiously]

[Don't think you are forgotten, Elecmon! Minato also kneels down, a few feet away since he suspects that Elecmon doesn't want strangers too close.]

And it's nice to meet you, Elecmon.

[After a nice long sprint down the street after the Elecmon who stole his D-Terminal, Kaito had finally (somehow) managed to catch the Digimon and haul him off of his feet. Unfortunately. . . the recovery of his D-Terminal was still pending, as Elecmon had stuffed the device into his mouth and wasn't letting it go, no matter how much Kaito tugged]

[For now, Kaito had settled on carrying his Digimon by the scruff of his neck as he wandered through Terminal Tokyo's streets, trying to memorize his new surroundings as much as he could]

You're gonna get teeth marks all over it. Geez. . .

[Elecmon merely grumps in reply, but by then Kaito had spotted Minato and had turned his attention towards the other Chosen instead]

Did it break on the trip over here?

[orphism]

I think it did-

[He looks surprised at the sight of a person holding a digimon by the scruff as if it were a bad dog. And judging by the D-Terminal in its mouth, the analogy looked to be fitting.]

Do you need help getting that back?

[jackoclubs]

[Kaito glances down at the Elecmon and scoffs]

Nah, I can take care of it. He can't hold onto that thing forever. He just decided to welcome me to this weird world by being a pain.

[That elicits another grump from the Elecmon]

Anyway, you want me to take a look at it for you? I'm pretty good with electronics.

[orphism]

You are? I'd appreciate it.

[He holds the MP3 player out to the other Chosen.]

...should I hold your partner?

[jackoclubs]

[Kaito pauses, then holds Elecmon out so Minato can take him]

Tch. Sure. He'll probably run off again if you don't, anyway.

[Elecmon spits the D-Terminal out into his paws and protests]

Hey! I have feet, you know! Feet I can stand on!

Are you gonna use those feet to escape if we let you stand on 'em?

No.

[Kaito's expression is dubious, but he drops Elecmon back onto the ground. True to his word, while the Digimon grumps, he doesn't bolt]

Better. Now, lemme see that MP3 player. . .

[orphism]

[Even if Elecmon looks like he's going to sit put, Minato's DORUmon has resolved to keep an eye on him. Digimon shouldn't cause their partners trouble! And as such, she doesn't quite trust him to not flee. Meanwhile, Minato hands over his music player.]

It won't even turn on.

[jackoclubs]

[With a frown, Kaito pokes and prods at the MP3 player, turning it around in his hands]

'M guessing you've already checked the batteries too, huh?

[orphism]

I have, it was fully charged. I suppose a place called the "Digital World" can be unkind to electronics.

[jackoclubs]

[He lets out a small, half-laugh]

Haa. You think it'd be the exact opposite, with a name like the "Digital World."

[orphism]

[He can't help but laugh at that too.]

Thank you for trying, at least.

[jackoclubs]

[With a heavy sigh, he hands the MP3 player back to Minato]

Sorry 'bout that. Wonder if this place has a store where you could buy a new one?

[orphism]

[He takes it back, looking dejected.]

I'll look later. I should probably find this housing place the letter mentioned.
