[OOC: Please, only one mission per Chosen so that others have a chance to take part as well! There is only one Dark Field Eliminator, and the groups will receive it. Do not break it. This will act as a mingle log. The missions are simple, so this is really an opportunity for you to log out CR if you'd like it. There really is no sign up for these. We just request that you do not go over the max number of participants, but you can certainly have under the number if everyone is alright with that. Remember, some of these will be taking place during the weather event, so if there's a day you want your character to be in the city for and it's a far away area, plan accordingly!  Enjoy!]

[ Kudamon's ears flatten a little. ]

Don't tell them to shut up.

I ain't gonna work with a bunch of over-sensitive babies.

—hey look, guys! I'm digivolving!

[ It was around then that they could see Roze following behind at a moderate distance, Musashi shuffling along at her side. They were far enough away that she couldn't hear anything and Squalla dn Seifer had missed her presence entirely. But catching a glimpse, no one could mistake the green leather jacket and bright pink hair for anyone else. Of course the tag-along Kotemon was a pretty good indicator too. She seemed to be keeping distance on purpose, stopping when they stopped, moving when they moved. ]

Why are we so far behind?

I wanted to see Primary Village for myself. I didn't know they would be going too. So lets just...stay back until we get there. They're obviously busy.

This isn't like you.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall rolled his eyes at Impmon. It's obvious the two digimon were trying to make the scene less awkward between all of them, but lying like that is only going to piss off Seifer. With his hands shoved into his pockets he sped up his walking pace. ]

You have a friend trailing behind us Seifer. Might want to be social and say Hi.

[ He keeps his staring toward the ground. His mood visibly turned more awkward when he noticed her back there.]

[knightfan]

[ Impmon hops forward on one foot, arms high in the air as he wills himself to digivolve. It doesn't work. Seifer groans and smacks Impmon on top of his head with the flat side of his gunblade. ]

D'ow!

That so?

[ Slowing to a stop and hoping it's some stupid digimon, he glances back. ]

[fullofthorns]

[ Awkward. what'd you do when only one stopped or walked? Sighing in frustration, Roze raked a hand through her hair and started forward again. Back to normal - or as normal as she could get the way she dressed. The green leather jacket like a second skin, thigh-high stilettos and a too-short pair of jean cut-offs. Her usual kimono top had been repurposed into a sling for Dante after being torn apart for the job, so she'd needed something else. Her mass of pink hair was back to its usual braid and twists. ]

Hey. [ She mumbled when she caught up to Seifer, lips pursed and expression carefully neutral. While warm was usually as cool as Roze got, she was tip-toeing surprisingly close to chilly in her attempt at separated indifference. Especially since her face lit up in a whole different way when she greeted the little Impmon.]

Hey you! Been a while! *headkiss*

[innermonologues]

[ Squall makes sure he's at a good four feet distance from them before he stops walking and shoves his hands into his pocket. Unfortunately it gives everyone behind him a good look at his bandages that need a changing and his ripped up shirt that he hasn't been able to get a new one.

He takes Kudamon off his shoulders and sets him down so he could slither on over to them. Just because he felt uncomfortable and a whole new pain in addition to his headache, doesn't mean Kudamon should have to. Kudamon gave Squall a sad look before he made his way over to the new party members. ]

H-hi Roze. We don't get to talk often but it's nice to see you again.

[knightfan]

[ Seifer frowns. He gets a simple "hey" and Impmon gets treated like her best friend in the world? What did he do? Impmon's eyes light right up when he gets his head kiss and he bashfully toes the ground. ]

[fullofthorns]

Nize to see you too! [ She chimes, piching Kudamon's cheek lightly and standing there, at the center of three digimon, all hearts and stars, while two little stormclouds linger nearby. ]

Thought I'd go on the mission, see Primary Village for myself. I uh...didn't realize anyone else would already be out here...

[ They all knew that wasn't true, precisely. She just didn't know who would be there. ]

If there's enough people already uh...I can go. There's other jobs...

[innermonologues]

You're already out here. It wouldn't make sense to come out here half way and then turn right back around.

[ He shifted uncomfortably and glanced back to them. There was some faint coloring on his face. ]

Yeah please don't go. The more we have the easier things will be right?

[knightfan]

And we left early. Better to get it done as soon as possible.

[ Frown still firm on his face, he starts walking again. It's his loyalty to Seifer the prompts Impon to slowly follow. When Seifer saw Roze last, she was scolding Squall. So why's he getting the cold shoulder, too? ]

[fullofthorns]

[ Because everyone that didn't want affection was obviously against her in some way. Obviously. ]

Yeah? Yeah. 'Course.

Hi Squall.

[ She huffed softly, swatting Impmon's backside lightly with a foot and winking at him before nodding for him to go catch up to Seifer, then she waved Kudamon towards Squall after gesturing the universal 'call me' sign. ]

I wanted to see Primary Village, anyways. Lotta people had to go here. Full'a biddy-digis. Kinda felt like this was one of the more important places to take care of.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall picked Kudamon back up when he got closer and ended up swirling around his arm clinging to him that way. Squall started walking again and just looked forward. ]

... Since their partners aren't here... it's like they're orphans... And... someone needs to keep them safe. Someone needs to watch out for the eggs and the others...

[knightfan]

[ He's not surprised at all. He figured it would be something like that, but he didn't think Squall would actually admit it. Oh well. Seifer keeps silent, letting them talk. ]

[fullofthorns]

S~o...

[ Great. Nice that she was the one that made everything awkward and inspired silence between two previously animated people. ]

You know, I can always walk further behind again if its an issue. [ She rumbled, jaw muscles twitching witch clenched teeth. She would not blow up. She would not be angry. She would be fuckin' pleasant. ]

I don't wanna impose. Anyways you guys were obviously pretty busy. I was tryin'a stay outta the way.

[innermonologues]

Seifer's just getting upset because you hardly acknowledged him. He gets moody when he is ignored but instead of blowing up I guess he's decided to stay silent.

[ He rolls his shoulders a bit. ]

Staying back there will only be bothersome so just keep up with us.

[ He's not sure why he said that. he feels so tense and on the edge with her right there next to him, but thinking about her falling back behind so much bothered him even more. ]

[knightfan]

[ The glare toward Squall is immediate. Sure, Squall was right, but it didn't mean he had permission to go blabbing about it. ]

You know, dumbasses should really keep their mouths shut, Squall. Anyway, we have a mission to focus on.

[ He scowls, his grip on the Dark Field Eliminator a bit tighter than it was before. To Roze: ]

You've got field experience, right? Then it doesn't matter where you walk.

[fullofthorns]

[ She shrugged and sighed, rolling her eyes and marching along in silence. She'd just go along. Follow orders, get the job done, go back, get paid, go to sleep for a week. Avoid everyone. Avoiding them was easier than just joking or shouting. ]

Sorry. [ She mumbled, arching a brow Seifer's way and ducking her head in apology. She meant it. She didn't really have more than two settings - of and on. Trying to find a mild in-between was proving more difficult than she'd thought it would. It wasn't her and she didn't like being anything other than herself. ]

[scratchitti]

[GUESS WHO'S SHOWING UP 5 HOURS LATE WITH STARBUCKS.

Literally. Well not literally, literally, but Neku does jog up from waaaay back with a bag full of drinks. If they're walking he wants to be prepared.

When he gets close he slows, brow arching, and even BlackGatomon sitting on his still droopy, flopy un-spiked head makes a low whistling sound]

Woooow, who died? You can cut the tension with a knife.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall just rolled his eyes at the comment Neku made. He wasn't expecting to see him here but seems like others just want to pile on to their little trip. He shoves his hands into his pockets and just continues forward.

The tension is mostly from this idiot here causing everyone else to have a bad mood. ]

We'll get there, figure out what to do with the device and then we'll be done.

[knightfan]

[ What, does Squall have some kind of homing device on him? Some kind of Squall Signal shining in the air that only Squall's friends can see? Dammit, he just wanted to do this alone. Oh well. At least he was the one holding the device. ]

Squall has apparently woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

[ Seifer shrugs, still frowning. ]

This all of this? I'm assuming they didn't want to send too big of a group in case something went wrong.

[ Not that he doubted the four of them could handle it. ]

I dunno. Wrong side of the bed seems awfully gracious. The world tends to be round. There's no sides. This is probably just his perpetual state of being.

[ She mumbled, Squall too far ahead to hear as she kicked a pebble irritably. ]

I didn't pay much attention to what it said on the roster, frankly. I knew the device was gone, so I figured someone was already on the way out here. If I caught up, great. Honestly I just wanted to see to the village. Like I said, biddy-digis seemed the most important.

[ She shrugged, leather jacket creaking softly with the movement, hands busying themselves tugging her dress down around her thighs. Bunching up a bit much, even for her taste in exposure. ]
