thefolder | Time to move on.

[This was all so unexpected, but for once, the Replica truly feels weak. If he had his powers, then... then maybe he would've stood a chance. Maybe he would've been able to make that Jupitermon pay. Instead, he's stuck fleeing. They all are, really, off to who-knows-where.

Normally he'd be excited about the prospect of exploration. The city was getting old, anyway. But now... well, as he and XV-mon hover down towards the Primary Village, neither looks particularly pleased.]

Okay, okay, coming in for a landing, buster! You better hold on tight, and--

What, you don't come with seatbelts?

[His voice lacks the usual snappiness it normally carries, but he manages at least a small smirk, while his partner snickers.]

Oh, very funny, bub. Everyone knows that flying's the way to go, anyway. Do you really wanna spend the next few days stuck on a cramped train?

[They'll continue to converse for a little while before seeking out others. It's kind of hard to miss the big, blue dragon, anyway.]

[Yang had managed to make it to Primary Village. She actually had some similar feelings about the whole 'wish I could fight' thing. Yang hates feeling useless and yet that was what she'd been reduced to during all of this.

But, on the bright side, she wasn't the only one running here. As XV-mon comes in for a landing, Yang looks up. Well hey there if it isn't a familiar face...well one of them. She can only assume the large blue dragon is--was-- Kotemon.

Yang waves them down even as she is running over to greet them, Bearmon not far behind. Despite her own issues with the current situation, she is as chipper as usual.]

Heya Silver! Looks like someone had some fun without me.

Oh, sure, if you call dodging flying heaps of rubble fun.

[He chuckles as he says this, hopping down from his partner once her feet touch the ground. Giving a good stretch, he then moseys over towards Yang and her Bearmon. XV mon stomps close behind, bumping her fists together with a huge, toothy grin.]

It would've been more fun if somebody hadn't wimped out, though. I was on the top of my game, battling heroically against all odds! Unleashing the fires of justice and might! And all with some sweet moves.

[The Replica rolls his eyes and slaps a hand over his hip.]

Don't mind her. I think the evolution's gone to her head a little.

Oh sure! I used to do it all the time. [She pouts slightly, though it may go unnoticed as she grumbles.] Used to be a heck of a lot easier though.

[Yang gives the large blue dragon a once over.]

Were you now? You'll have to show me these sweet moves of your sometimes.

[She returns to Silver.]

You think? You sure you didn't grab some other digimon on the way out?

Why wait? I'll take to the sky, like a radiant sun and blast the heavens with my--

Kotemon. [THe Replica shoots her a pointed look. This is not the time to start blasting lasers, darn it! 'Course, XV-mon seems to disagree, as she leans over him and shakes one big fist.]

Hey, that's XV-mon to you, hotshot! And sheesh, it'd just be a little laster. A teensy weensy demonstration is all I ask!

No. [And now he's just gonna start rubbing his brow. This Digimon...]

I'd almost think I grabbed the wrong Digimon, but I saw her evolve with my own eyes. Maybe her data got messed up in the process.

[And cue XV-mon stomping her foot with a huff. Rude!]

[Yang tilts her head as she watches Kotemon and Silver banter. Yeah, she's got nothing. This new version is interesting, although a little confusing since it is not at ALL how Kotemon used to act. Yang's eyes slowly drift to her silent partner. If he evolved would he turn into a hyperactive, talkative sort? She wasn't sure if that was how evolution worked or not.

She shook her head, shifting her stance as she looked back to the duo.]

Who knows. Sounds like you have a pretty gungho partner now though.

Aww, don't take it so personally, XV-mon. I'm sure Silver here still likes you just as much.

[It's one of those mysterious things with Digimon. Some change, others don't. Rep hasn't realized it yet, but his emotions and desires certainly affected Kotemon's evolution. She'll probably be positively embarrassed when she devolves.

Right now she's just gonna stand here and sulk. So much for being awesome.]

Well, at least she's got some fighting spirit now. Gotta admit, I was pretty hard on her before, but if she hadn't grabbed me, I probably would've become road pizza.

[Yeah, that's what happens when you charge right into danger. Now, turning his attention to Honey...]

So, how'd you two hold up?

Eh. No worse than what I usually deal with. [Yang pauses and then amends.] Well, aside from the psychotic god-like being part. That's a new one for me.

[New or not, she says it in such a way you can tell that Yang just isn't phased by these things. The action had actually been a bit of a welcomed change of pace for her.]

Otherwise, not much to report. Honey and I dodged a lot of debris and headed out of there.

So you played it safe, huh? As for me, I charged right into the fray. Got the idea in my head that I could fight those two all on my own.

[He hides his embarrassment under a cool, calm front, waving his hand as if brushing off the dangers involved.

Seeing this, XV-mon rolls her eyes.]

Which is why I did the noble thing and bailed him out. I tell ya, he really needs a leash.

If you call dodging buildings falling on you and making sure your partner doesn't get zapped to oblivion...yeah, we played it safe.

[You have a strange definition of safe, even by Yang's crazy standards. To be fair though, she hadn't tried to FIGHT...although that was more because Bearmon had insisted she couldn't beat the psycho with lightening powers.]

Aww, I'm sure you can get him trained eventually. Although maybe you guys should both work on the whole 'fight or flight' thing.

[Because you're one to talk Yang.]

Hey, I just don't want to miss out on the action. This whole passive thing's not really my style, even if the enemies are overpowered gods.

[He shrugs, slipping his hands down to his hips, while XV-mon just groans.]

Hey, hey. I totally have the whole fight or flight thing down. I'm like a PhD in fightology.

Yeah right. You rushed right at Jupitermon the moment you evolved.

[At Rep's remark, her eyes widen, and she frantically shakes her head.]

Hey, don't listen to him! He's just making stuff up. Really!

Tell me about it. I miss being able to punch my way out of a situation. Girl's gotta have fun somehow...guess I'll find my kicks another way.

[Yang tilts her head.]

Uh...I think we might be talking about different flight instincts here. You're lucky you didn't get blasted...I saw it happen to a few digimon.

[Yang runs her fingers through her hair, eyes going to the ground.]

It wasn't pretty.

Hey, who says you can't still throw punches? You'll just have to pick weaker targets.

[The Replica sighs, pressing a hand against the back of his neck.]

Guess we all will, whether we like it or not.

Oh, hah, don't worry about that. I still plan on throwing down when I can.

[She even seems to get more upbeat at the mere thought of it. Like she simply can't WAIT to pick a fight.]

Worse case scenario I'll just have to go back to the days when I sparred against people moreso than monsters. It'll work out.

Well, if you ever need a sparring partner, I'm game. Gotta keep on our toes somehow, right?

[And at least this way he can work up to the bigger targets. Sparring with XV-mon is an option, but he knows he can't dodge lasers forever.]

Sure, if you think you can handle me Mr. Tough Guy.

[She grins at that, cocking her hip to the side and looking confident, really pleased with this turn of events.

But then she sighs and turns back to look out at the lost city.]

Guess it'll have to wait a bit though.

...Right.

[And just like that, the Replica's face falls, all confidence fizzling out of him in a single sigh. One of his hands slides to the side of his neck, and he winces at the empty space that used to house the city.]

We've got a long journey ahead of us. Who knows how long it'll even take us to get there?

Maybe a few days? Guess it depends on how you decide to travel or if you make any stops along the way.

[She starts to perk up.]

It'll be a good chance to see what more this world has got to offer, that's for sure.

Well, see, I've gotta babysit this dork friend of mine, and knowing Sora, he'll want to see everything.

[He rolls his eyes, though a smile remains on his face.]

But honestly, I was probably gonna explore sooner or later. This just gives us incentive to get out there.

Aww why do you make it sound like a chore. I think that sounds like fun.

[She can tell you don't REALLY mean that.]

Me too. Wish I had a bike to do it on...or a giant flying dragon would be cool.

[She looks down at Bearmon. She doubts he can fly so she just gives him an apologetic smile.]

Looks like it's the train for us, Honey.

Oh, I think you mean the coolest!

[XV-mon puffs out her chest, as if somehow that'll up her coolness tenfold. Rep shoots her a deadpan stare before his eyes fall back on Yang.]

Well, at least you won't have to worry about getting rained on. Truth is, it'd probably be smarter to take the train, but I've got this bad habit of making things hard for myself. Sora's even worse.

[Yang is kind of getting to the point where she ignores XV-mon's little comments. Instead she just looks amused and Honey, unseen, rolls his eyes.]

Guess we'll just have to compare notes after the trip is over then.

Ha. Guess I'll have to keep mental notes.

[He stuffs a hand into his pocket, plucking out a flashlight and his D-Stream.]

Things got so hectic back there, I didn't think to grab anything to write with. Just my sword, some spare clothes, money, and that's pretty much it.

[And, okay, maybe he snagged a pillow so he wouldn't have to use rocks, but when the whole city's getting ravaged by Mega level Digimon, you kinda have to minimize.]

You got the essentials at least.

Same here really, it wasn't like I had a lot of possessions myself anyway. Glad I didn't have enough time to save up for the bike now though. I might not have been able to get it out of the city with all of this going on.

Time to move on.
