What: The Rescue of Taichi turns sour!
When: 24-26 April
Where: The new anomaly outside of Primary Village
The Trailmon to File Island left hours ago. Twenty-one people were aboard and split their separate ways at a terminal close to the Village. Some went to protect the young Digimon while most of the others had a mission at hand: rescuing the brave--or perhaps foolish-- Taichi Yagami.
No Digimon seems to be around as group approaches the field. It as Taichi said, too, full of bright colors and random numbers. The size isn't great, so one must wonder how a boy got lost in there. Or perhaps you're unable to think on that when you realize how still everything is.
No wind seems to pass and no sound can be heard.
Whatever's going on, it can't be normal for the Digital World either, can it?
[[OOC: So here's how this will work! We will give you guys a few rounds to get set up. This is so that you can get in your groups. During this time the Divers will also be roped up and sent on their way. For this we're going to need you guys to be a little speedy at first. Ideally, we will be putting up the Diving/Battling threads at NO LATER THAN 8:30 A.M. CST Thursday. They may go up earlier if we feel everyone is situated!
Several threads will go up then-- one for the Divers for which we will be putting our focus on (Divers, if you want to get started early since you don't have much coordinating to do let us know!).
The Digimon you will be fighting will also make their appearance! Please note it will take several hours after the Divers take their leave that the Digimon will appear. We will introduce these Digimon and explain the mechanics of their behavior, but wil not be playing them unless requested/necessary.
The Divers should all be pulled out by midnight on the 26th.

[And while the Devimon is focusing his energy at Gizamon and Coronamon, Psychemon is going to try and fire off his own attack while everyone is waiting. It might work, but it might end horribly.]

[Gizamon pushed herself back up and snapped at Kaldur as he tried to get closer. She was NOT going to have her partner blown to smithereens by this overlarge Devimon. Kaldur didn't listen though and was at Gizamon's side a moment later.]
This is not working. We need to coordinate an attack...
[Kaldur looked up at the monster. The Devimon sighed and it still seemed like this was the most boring thing ever to it. Devimon looked like he was about to just turn away from the whole affair but then Psychemon's attack hit it in the arm. The over-muscled digimon grunted in annoyance. Patting it's arm like it was brushing off dirt.
Meanwhile, Kaldur eyed the cracked data and frowned. He then turned to the others.]
We should attack points of weakness. Eyes, joints, anything that might hinder it's ability to move.
[He looked down to Gizamon.] Do you think you can manage?
[Gizamon pushed away from Kaldur. Bits of her fur were singed and even now she looked tired and the battle had only just begun. But, she was stubborn so she nodded.]
I'll spike it up for you nicely. I think the eyes sound like a great spot.
Mini Blade!
[Gizamon's spikes glowed and then launched from her back and went sailing through the air aimed towards the glowing red eyes of the Devimon. Devimon swiped his hand through the air and knocked the spikes clear out of the sky. The spikes struck the ground around them, one landing inches away from Kaldur. He eyed it for a moment, calculating, an idea was beginning to form in his head. He would wait to see if the other digimon could make the attack though.]

[Wash backs up to give the digimon room.] You heard the plan.
Of course I did. [This attack would take a lot of energy, but they weren't getting anywhere with their other attacks. He starts concentrating his flames for a shot, seeing as the spikes missed, maybe the flames could hit the eyes instead.] Corona Shot!

[Well, it sounded like something Psychemon could do, but that was the same thing, right? She didn't yell it to him, not when he was standing so close to Devimon after his last attack had worked...well, connected. It didn't really seemed to have work at all.]
Be careful where I aim, eh? Colorful Spark!
[Psychemon had to be careful to avoid one of those sparks, but he tried to time his attack to match up with Coronamon's. Instead of aiming for the eyes, however, he aimed for the closest knee.
Meanwhile, Hibiki wasn't thrilled with how close that spike had come to Kaldur.]
Can you try not to use attacks that'll get sent back to us?!

Kaldur was afraid of that much. This was proving to be a futile effort. He looked around and noticed that there group was not the only one struggling on the field of battle. Although, it looked like a few of their allies had gained access to the next level for their digimon.
Devimon finished shaking out his hand. He chuckled in a low voice at their weak attempts. He then decided to try snatching up another human or digimon again. The Gizamon looked good and he reached for her. Kaldur rolled forward and snatched up one of the spikes from Gizamon's previous attack. He was not going to let his partner be taken so easily. It wasn't exactly a sword, but a plan was already forming as he rushed towards the monster's hand.]
Kaldur! No! What are you doing!
Haa!
[Kaldur flew at the hand, driving the spike into the middle of the palm as it made to close around him and Gizamon. Devimon hissed in pain.]
Gizamon now!
[The hand closed around Kaldur and Gizamon's eyes widened. What had Kaldur done? What had she LET him do? She was supposed to protect him, not THIS.]
NO! Let him go! KALDUR'AHM!
[From between Devimon's fingers a bright light flashed. At first Gizamon didn't realize what it was until a second later when she felt herself filling with a strange power. Gizamon's eyes flashed and she rushed forward even as the light enveloped her.]
Gizamon digivolve to...Seadramon
[The much larger sea serpent struck like a snake, immediately sinking her teeth into the Devimon's arm that held Kaldur. Devimon roared and his hand opened, releasing Kaldur. Seadramon whipped her tail out and caught Kaldur, gently wrapping around him and slipping back away from Devimon before he could strike again. Seadramon curled around Kaldur protectively. Hissing at Devimon her ear fins extended in an intimidating manner.]

He digivolved. [Coronamon is getting frustrated... Everything he's tried hasn't done enough, and it's wearing him out. And he wants to protect Wash before he interferes and injures himself. As well as protecting their allies.
But the Digivice is starting to react, glowing, as Coronamon charges forward. ASnd he feels the new energy.] Coronamon digivolve to Firamon.
[Firamon moves forward to stand next to the Seadramon, glaring at Devimon.] You're going down.

E-eh? Why's...why's everything getting bigger?
[Wait. That's not the question here.]
Is everyone okay?
[She can't see Kaldur, not while a giant sea serpent is protecting him...and that large lion blocks her view a bit. She takes a few steps closer before jogging to close the distance, her Digimon partner not really noticing what she's doing until she's much closer to the battle.]
These guys are all on our side, right?!

[Seadramon peered down at her partner and grinned a toothy grin.]
Now I'm really gonna show you something. [pause, her voice lowered.] You all right though Kaldur?
I am.
Good. Now. If you'll excuse me.
[Her head snapped back up and she glared at the Devimon. She then left Kaldur, striking forward like the giant snake she was.]
Ice Blast
[Devimon was blasted with ice that steamed in the warmer air around it. This actually caused him to step back but it still seemed to have no real effect but it was slightly more effective than the previous attacks had been.]
[Kaldur, meanwhile, stepped back and made his way towards Hibiki, keeping an eye on the fight but wanting to get out of the way of the larger monsters.]
Yes. Our partners have evolved.

[Wash nods, still a little shocked at the partner changing like that. But if the Digimon can do that? Maybe he can take on the enemy Digimon. Wash knew he didn't stand a chance and he'd be in the way. But maybe he could help once it's weakened. He'll get back with the other humans.]
Be careful, Coronamon.
[Firamon takes to the air at this point.]
Flame Dive.
[Firamon's body is covered in flames as he dives into the into the Devimon.]

She barely even notices Kaldur getting closer as she talks to her own partner.]
Aren't you gonna change, too? We can definitely beat this guy if you join in!

...W-why are you apologizin'? That just sounds weird comin' from ya...
[Of course, she doesn't really have time to stop and have an entire conversation. While Devimon is hopefully distracted with the two larger Digimon, Psychemon still wants to get in an attack of his own. He moves a few feet in front of Hibiki and fires off another ranged spark.
She finally turns to acknowledge the other two tamers.]
Evolved, huh? ...How come mine's the only one not evolvin'? ...Hngh, I don't need any of that! Psychetaro! Give it your best! Nankurunaisa!

I am not sure. I do not completely understand the process but I recall it is dependent on your bond with your partner.
[He doesn't want to add that part of it is being in danger. He doesn't want to give Hibiki ideas of forcing an evolution by jumping at Devimon. Yes, that was a bit hypocritical but Kaldur was also a former hero who USUALLY threw himself at danger.]

[Shaking his head.] Could be a lot of things. Mine wants to protect me... And he knows I'm stubborn enough to throw myself into things. [Like being here at all.]

[She winces as Psychemon is unable to dodge a Firamon being chucked in his direction, and he hits the ground pretty hard. For a moment, Hibiki is ready to run out there and pull him up, but he shakily makes his way back onto his feet.]
This is hopeless! We can't win against somethin' like this!

Kaldur is starting to feel that are uncomfortably close to this battle.]
I agree. Even two higher level digimon are struggling...but we need to wait until the team has been extracted with Taichi. We cannot leave before that.
[Seadramon untangles herself from Firamon. She's not going to want to retreat so easily either.]
ELECTRIC SHOCK!
[From fire and ice to electricity. The blast streamed from Seadramon's mouth and struck Devimon in the face.]

[Whatever that means. She doesn't know. But she definitely didn't mean to imply running away was the best choice...though she hopes that Psychetaro figures out how to evolve soon...]

He goes through a mental list of tactics his own team has worked on. Unfortunately, there's not a mental link to inform Seadramon without also informing Devimon. He also hasn't gone over any of the procedures with her either. He mentally curses himself for not having the proper foresight.]
You're right. We need a new tactic. Wash, direct Firamon to wait for my signal. I'm going to see if I can get Seadramon to wrap around Devimon and immobilize him. When that happens, Firamon should use a strike and attempt to blind the digimon and we can revise our strategy from there. Hibiki, I need Psychetaro's help as well. Shouting your strategy across the battlefield is not effective. I need him to buy me time to get to Seadramon and give her the plan.
[He paused and waited for their input as the battle continued. They needed to decide fast before their Champion digimon were also defeated.]

[The Digimon isn't happy, but he'll go back to Wash to wait for another good opportunity... Or maybe the human had seen something he missed. Wash wasn't going to give the stronger Digimon warning to defend itself this time. When Firamon lands next to him, he starts giving direction quietly]
