Black Gear Panic attack!
The day stated simply enough. Peaceful and sunny. Until a quake happened, one that originated on Infinity Mountain. And with the quake a serious of explosions were heard, by those closest to the buildings on that Mountain.
However no one was prepared for what happened next. A swarm of blackness flew from the temple and covered the sky of the Digital Island before raining down on it.
Many that called this place home knew what this meant. Someone or something has reawaken the Black Gears, long thought to be destroyed, and the inhabitants of the island were to soon find themselves under it influence again.
File Island was under attack.
However no one was prepared for what happened next. A swarm of blackness flew from the temple and covered the sky of the Digital Island before raining down on it.

Kiyomi, being much smaller than her partner, weaved in and out out of the bubbles' way with ease towards Monzaemon. She did indeed see that darkness and didn't need to be told that was a weak spot.
Seeing Guren in trouble, Saori had no other choice but to try free him herself. She ran out of the house and towards to the laughing digimon. "Guren! Snap out of it! You're stronger than this!" While she was busy trying to get Guren back, a bubble closed in on her. Kiyomi looked over her shoulder and stopped in horror.
Gaomon digivolve to...AQUILAMON!
The area was soon overcast by a giant bird shadow. With one push of its wings, all the bubbles popped. Guren coughed after he fell to the ground.
"Guren, aim for his back! BLAST LASER!"
"RAZOR WIND!"
Saori crouched down to the ground to brace herself from the impact of the two attacks. Clouds of dust and more blocks and toys nearby got thrown into the air violently. When it all died down, Saori opened her eyes.
"Did we...?"

As the dust settled and smoke rose from his back a single black gear came spinning out of his back and exploded into Digidust.
Groaning, the bear Digimon struggled to drag himself out of the hole.
"Why does that keep happening to me?" He moaned in a mix of shame and pain.

"You mean...the black gears? Sorry, if we sort of overdid it."

"You didn't over do it...I'm so sorry for attacking you." He hauled himself out of the crater and sat on the street trying to collect himself.
"Would you believe that's the third time I've taken a black gear to the back? I'm just lucky I have a zipper there."

"Well, I'm just glad we got it out of you. Let us help you get this place back to normal as a way to make up for our attack." She took a look around. It was a shame she didn't have a good look when they first arrived. "A town made of toys...My kids would've loved this place if they were here."

"If your kids ever do show up, be sure to bring them by. I'll give you all the royal treatment. Here in toy town the young and young at heart are always welcome!"

As much as she would love to see her children again, she wasn't sure the Digital World was ready for 5 year old deities and vice versa. Their poor partners will never escape them ever.
