Who: Everyone taking part in the Adventure Time! Event.
What: Chosen trying to find their way around the changed File Island.
When: August 1st - 3rd
Where: File Island

Early in the morning, wherever they are, Chosen are tormented by data streams. They aren't very accurate data stream, so they may miss. But they ones who are hit by them will find themselves on some part of File Island, and they'll find themselves closed off from the outside world.

They'll find video and audio recordings don't work. They'll find, if they've been to the island, that some places may not appear like they always have. They'll find that this isn't quite the File Island as it was before.

Wherever they are on the island, whoever they run into, something will be constant: their digivices will blink, pointing them like a compass toward File Island's center, Infinity Mountain.

It's time to go and see what that's about.

[ooc: This will be the catch-all log for the event! Below will be threads of all the places, both basic and specific, that your characters will be able to go. The last thread will be for the Infinity Mountain event endgame, and though your characters can arrive there early, it will take place on day three of the event.

NPCs will drift through the threads, depending on where you are. For the purposes of this event, if you are not okay with NPC interaction, please say so in your thread, for example if you and someone else have a non-NPC thread idea. Otherwise, all threads are open to NPC intervention, though not all will receive it. Please also mark which day your threads take place on. And remember, have fun! The map and the ooc info can help with location issues.]

[After the craziness that happened in Toy Town, Kovu decided to split off from the group and go exploring on his own. He felt more comfortable this way, with just Lopmon for company.

They've made it to an area that's reminding him of the Outlands, nothing but cliffs and rocks. Again his human body proves a nuisance, as he tries to climb them to get a better view of the land. More than once his foot slips, or his hand, and Lopmon has to catch him, but finally they reach a spot where they've got plenty of room to sit and rest a moment.]

[Well if Kovu had intended to find some peace and quiet out here, unfortunately he's not going to get it here. Approaching from the distance is a tall, hulking figure with its fists balled tightly at its sides as it walks with a slow, deliberate gait. It almost looks like it's looking for something, passing silently through the rocky passes.

As it comes closer, Kovu and Lopmon might notice something familiar about this particular Digimon, who hasn't seemed to notice them yet.]

K-Kovu...

I see him.

[If this guy's a real lion he'd hear them whispering anyway, but that lion head on a human body means he's definitely a Digimon - and his senses might not be quite so great.]

Get ready.

Duh.

[Both of them stand, and move back against the rock face. After that weird stuff in Toy Town they have no idea what they might have to fight if this guy wants to start something, so their best bet is to just stay out of sight for now.]

[chimons]

[Leomon definitely hears their voices, his ears flicking back at the sound. He turns to the side slowly, standing a bit straighter as his eyes search the rocks for any sign of movement. He takes a few more steps closer, breathing heavily through open jaws.

Something doesn't seem right. His mane is a deep black, and his entire skin tone is dark and menacing. The massive scars wrapping around both arms are clearly noticeable now, and as he turns his head his white, pupiless eyes can be seen.]

[There's no way this Digimon is looking for a chat. That's the look of a hunter searching for prey, and Kovu's seen it a million times.]

Digivolve.

But!

DIGIVOLVE!

[Kovu yanks the digivice out of his pocket, and a few moments later Lynxmon is standing next to him, flames licking around him in place of fur. The last thing Kovu's going to let happen is getting attacked unprepared.]

[chimons]

[Leomon comes to a halt when he hears Kovu's cry for Lopmon to digivolve, a rumbling snarl erupting from him when he finally spots the Chosen and Digimon among the rocks.

Suddenly, without so much as a moment's hesitation, Leomon rears back and aims a punch at the pair, not seeming to care that there are several pillars of rocks in the way.]

[Briefly, Kovu's confused by this, but after seeing what Monzaemon could do just standing still he jumps clear of where the lion man's aiming his punch. Lynxmon leaps in the other direction.]

You all right Kovu?

Yeah!

[He looks at the Digimon with a snarl as the punch blasts through those pillars and into the rock wall, making a sizable crater.]

Wait till he's close.

[Lynxmon nods, knowing that trying to attack from back here would just get him punched clear out of the air.]

[chimons]

[Once the punch connects and Leomon realizes he missed his target, he lets out a loud roar, pulling back briefly. And that's exactly what the Digimon does, fueled by an evil sort of rage, weaving through the cliffs to get closer to Kovu and Lopmon.

Again he pulls his fist back, aiming a second punch directly at them, this one seeming more violent than the last.]

[Not for the first time, Kovu's glad this human body kept a lot of the muscles he had as a lion. He's able to dodge this punch too, leaping further away.

Unfortunately, that meant leaping further from Lynxmon too, and as the big guy comes down he'll be right between them.]

HOWLING BUSTER!

[Lynxmon rears back as he jumps into the air to avoid the attack, and breathes out a massive fireball aimed directly at their opponent.]

[chimons]

[The momentum of the punch breaks through the cliffside, causing an even deeper crater than the last. However, Leomon has absolutely no time to dodge Lynxmon's attack, the fireball hitting him dead-on in the side. He lets out a howling roar of pain, turning on his heel to face Lynxmon. With some of his mane singed and still burning even he reaches out with his claws extended, intending to knock the Digimon right from the cliff's edge.]

[Lynxmon is much more nimble than the hulking lion, and jumps over attack, bringing his own claws to bear.]

WILD NAIL CLAW!

[Kovu takes the moment to catch his breath, and try to figure out what to do. It doesn't look like this big Digimon is gonna give up till he's dead, and that might take more than Lynxmon has in him.]

[chimons]

[The attack is enough to cause Leomon to back down slightly, but Kovu's dead on with his assumption. He seems barely phased by any of the attacking so far, and just aims another fist of the beast king attack at Lynxmon, no matter how many times the Digimon dodges.]

[thescaronhisface]

[Lynxmon leaps all the way over Leomon this time, and aims that same claw attack at his back. He's out of breath as he lands, though; there's no way he'll be able to keep this up.

Kovu growls, holding his Digivice so tight his hand is shaking.]

[chimons]

RRRAAAAGGHH!!

[Leomon lets out a bellow that causes the surroundings to tremble, rocks and pebbles tumbling from the edges of the outcroppings. If that didn't do any damage, it did do one thing.

It made Leomon furious.

Wheeling around he aims yet another punch right at Lynxmon, with a force as if he's intending to take out the entire mountain along with the Digimon.]

[Even though Lynxmon is already trying to get out of the way, he can't move fast enough. The punch doesn't hit him full on, but the part that does knocks him straight into the rock wall, making yet another crater.]

LYNXMON!

[Kovu cries out without thinking as his partner collapses onto the ground.]

[chimons]

[Leomon's ears perk when he hears Kovu cry out, and for the moment he turns away from Lynxmon to turn his attention to the Chosen. With a rumbling snarl that rises from his throat he slowly steps over the rocks, making his way to cross the gorge to reach Kovu. He flexes his massive claws before balling them into fists once more, rearing back for another punch- this time directed at Kovu instead of Lynxmon.]

[Kovu's eyes go wide, and he tries to jump out of the way before the punch comes. And he does manage - mostly. He gets grazed by the attack the same way that Lynxmon did, but he has nowhere near as strong a body to take it. The strike sends him flying, and knocks the digivice out of his hand. The device bounces once, then skids to a stop closer to Leomon, while Kovu himself smacks into the rocks wall, crying out in pain as sharp stones scrape his skin.]

[chimons]

[The second the Digivice falls in close enough range, a white light bursts from it, one that causes Leomon to writhe and howl with pain, reaching up to grab the sides of his head with both paws. In an instant the black gear that had been corrupting him is destroyed, returning the normally gentle and protective Digimon to his former state. He doesn't address Kovu nor Lynxmon, however, trying to clear his head and figure out what just happened to him.]

[Shielding his eyes from the light, Kovu looks up at the lion. He doesn't see anything of the black gear, only the Digimon's reaction to it, and when the light faded he could see the big guy's pupils. The fur was a lighter color, too.]

What just...happened...?

[He can still barely breathe from the impact, so his hoarse voice is barely above a whisper.

Lynxmon, out cold now, returns to being Lopmon, and the little rabbit Digimon is covered in scratches and bruises.]

[chimons]

[With a low growl, Leomon shakes his head, his mane settling around his shoulders. It is then that he finally noticed Lopmon unconscious on the other side of the gorge. Carefully, before Kovu can react, he reaches out and scoops the Digimon up in one hand, moving so he can place him next to Kovu.

Then he turns to the Chosen, rolling his shoulders.]

....Is this Digimon your partner?

[thescaronhisface]

[Kovu snarls and gets in between the big Digimon and his partner. He winces, but looks up at Leomon defiantly.]

You think I'm gonna answer? You just attacked us out of nowhere!

[chimons]

[Aaah, he should have expected that the boy wouldn't trust him right away. Though he's not sure he'll believe him if he tries to explain....Leomon can only hope Lopmon wakes up soon enough.]

Please, let me explain. You must be one of the Chosen, for it was your digivice that freed me from the gear that had me under it's ruthless spell.

[thescaronhisface]

[Kovu clenches his fist. He hates that everyone keeps calling him a "Chosen" here.]

Why should I believe you?

[chimons]

You don't exactly have a good reason to, do you? ...but I'm hoping your partner will come to and explain.

[thescaronhisface]

[He looks down at Lopmon, then snarls at Leomon again.]

You're the one who attacked him. What's there to explain?
