What: Training Party!
When: December 13th
Where: Public Training area... or what's left of it post-repairs. Characters do not have to know Takato and Guilmon to attend; they will have placed posters throughout the city over the past few weeks.

[It'd been several weeks in the making. Several weeks spent baking oodles of bread, getting in touch with other Chosen and Digimon, and of course helping with the repair efforts throughout this week. With dangers such as Titamon on the horizon, it seemed only right to set up a gathering for Chosen new and old to band together and practice their fighting skills.

In addition to the network announcements, Takato and Guilmon made sure to spread posters informing the populace of the event. Those who arrive on-site will find a table decked out with a wide variety of breads, with room for other snacks for those who wish to pitch in.

Arrivals will of course be greeted by an enthusiastic Guilmon and his Tamer, and while the primary focus is training, there's plenty of time to mingle, ask questions, and chow down!]

[ For those who might have gotten to known Mikasa in the past few weeks, today it appears as if all the life has been drained out of her. Her expression is with little emotion, but she does dip her head every so often to rest her mouth behind the red scarf. One thing that's really different is that she's not in her jacket or all those strange belts, dressed instead in a long flowing skirt and jacket. Something she must have picked up in one of the local stores here.

Nearby are her two Digimon. A Terriermon who has wrapped her ears around her neck to wear like a scarf to mimic her partner and a Guilmon whose taken to wearing a red armband around his upper arm. Both seem to be eager to learn while their Chosen One pokes at her D-Terminal in a sluggish fashion. ]

[Guilmon's ears perk the moment he spots Mikasa and her Digimon. Including that other Guilmon, wow! Grinning from ear to ear, he darts from the food table over to the group all while swallowing one of the pieces of Guilmon bread.]

Mikasa, hi!

[He skids to a stop, waving at her before looking to the Digimon.]

And hi to you, too! Guilmon always likes meeting other Guilmon, and I remember Terriermon from before.

[Even if he sorta was uh... a vicious beast at the time. Whoops.]

...Hi, Mikasa-chan!

(Takato came up next to Guilmon and smiled softly at her, the other Guilmon and Terriermon before going on. He did take notice of what she wore, Takato pretty used to the clothes she wore before himself but not minding.)

You look really pretty. Thanks for coming over!

[Hooray! Another set of guests. Coincidentally, Guilmon happens to be at the bread table, scooping up a croissant, but he stops long enough to pass it over to Tatara before waving at the others.]

Hey, are you guys here to train, too? Guilmon can help!

[An optional thread for those who wish to battle Guilmon's champion level form. Sometime during the party, Guilmon will evolve, growing from his fairly small Rookie form to a much bigger reptile.]

[For those who are a bit more daring, Guilmon can also evolve to Ultimate, becoming a massive cyborg reptile. Beware the Atomic Blasters and Double Edge attacks. Spectators may want to duck and cover.]

[Sometime during the party, between spars and between food, Takato and Guilmon will open the floor to questions, plans, and other discussion. After all, with potential threats lingering over the horizon, it's good to slow down and chat every now and then.

Characters are free to mingle with one another, threadhop, and so forth.]

[ Chika was really happy that they were finally getting around to doing some sort of training thing again. It'd been way too long since that one time that her brother had set one up. And honestly, while she's probably not going to fight herself, she's still a little bit excited to see what the others here can do.

Biyomon's watching her with a rather amused reaction, his beak somehow curled up a bit into a smile. ]

The way you're acting, it's like you're the one whose going to be doing the fighting.

[ Chika giggles, turning to look at him for a moment. ]

I'm just excited, that's all. I mean, we're getting to help people learn how to deal with all the stuff that comes up and getting some nice practice in too!

[ OOC: Chika's Biyomon can either spar as Biyomon, Aquilamon, and Garudamon, so whatever option your character is comfortable with can easily be done here. ]

[He knows those scents, and as soon as they enter, Guilmon's ears perk up, and he practically gallops their way.]

Chika, Biyomooon! Guilmon's glad you could make it.

[ Biyomon was busy doing some sort of training thing with a few Rookie digimon, so he's not with her when Chika notices the rather large digimon coming near them. ]

Umm, hi there! I don't think I've seen you around the city before! Are you new?

[Leatherhead's walking out onto the training field. And though Monodramon's hanging off his back, he's the more lively of the two digimon. Duke's still caught up in his latest angstfest. But it'll soon pass once he finds something to poke fun of.

Leatherhead seems to be a bit more open, given that Gulimon's here. He's a little easier to talk with than most.]

Hi! Decided to train first before eating?

(Takato made his way over to this part of the training field, knowing Guilmon wasn't too far off. If he needed his partner, he'd be able to tell. Guilmon was good at things like that.)

Leatherheead!

[Guilmon remembers what Monochromon said before, so he's zipping over with his arms full of a various assortment of bread, including a piece of Guilmon bread. After all, it's the best!]

It's good to see you here. And your Digimon, too. I hope you guys like this bread!

[Little Sophia and her Commandramon are there, and Sophia is holding Commandramon's claw. He has a gun, so she is very sure he knows how to use it. But a lot of people back home knew how to use guns, and they still died. She doesn't want people to keep dying, so when Commandramon told her about this training party, she decided they would go.

It's weird, though. How is training a party? Parties have balloons and cake, sometimes clowns. Or they're like the parties in Alexandria, with pretty dresses. That's not training. Not like she's ever trained before. She's not fast, she couldn't shoot a gun like Carl.

That's why it's good that Commandramon's here. He's waiting for her to take initiative, however, and she's just watching others mingling around instead of approaching.]

[Aww, it's a little kid! Just a bit older than Ai... or a few years, but really, Guilmon sees a tiny person, and tiny people deserve friendliness. Sooo...

He's gonna march on over with two big pieces of bread and an equally huge grin.]

Hi! Guilmon's never seen you around here before... Are you new?

[ Much like Guilmon, Mikasa's attracted to the younger girl more to protect her than to actually teach her. She lingers nearby, dressed in civilian clothes for once, as she eventually approaches her. ]

[Duo's only just arrived with Solarmon when he notices Sophia. A girl and her digimon--

And a gun! Something he recognizes and he's not too thrilled to see it. After all, guns are weapons, and weapons are part of war, and war makes orphans like him...

His hands clench into tight fists before he marches up to Sophia, Solarmon seemingly oblivious since he's too busy watching the others training.]

Hey! You with the gun!

[It's been long enough that Juri's just sat around and cried, and this is the best opportunity to fix that. With Leormon by her side, who is as serious as he was before his rebirth, she looks for others to train with, those she doesn't know. She wants to get him back to Leomon, the form he should be in. She wants to do this right.]

[...Oh, he's Leormon again. Well, Guilmon's out and about as Growlmon by the time Juri arrives, and while he approaches the duo with a smile, it's a bit strained. After all, he did a really bad thing to Leomon...]

...It's good that you could be here!

(Takato makes his way over to the other Tamer, a relieved smile on his face; while he was pleased to see Juri here, he hadn't expected Leomon to have Digivolved so much! It was fantastic...but, to the reason why he asked for her.)

I was wondering...before we get started on training, can we talk?

[ Congrats Juri, you have Chika running right over to you with an excited look on her face. Though her focus on the match doesn't really last that much longer as she gives a giggle and then moves in for a hug. ]

So how've you been? It's been a while since we had time to talk.

[Kit and Emerick arrive at the training fields right on time, pausing a moment just to look around at the large gathering of people and Digimon. Now that they're here, Kit seems uncertain where to start. The food tables look tempting, but they didn't come here to eat.

But how exactly did you go about picking out someone to train with? Or could you train by yourself? Maybe they should just watch for a bit first, and see what other people were doing...]
