Primary Village - August 26th

[The Dark Field, named so for its inside rather than its white-and-rainbow outside, is as it was months before, a few miles from Primary Village.

The Chosen taking part in this mission have received a small handheld, like a walkie-talkie that can gather data if close enough, through a small antenna.

If they get close to the Dark Field, a Devimon with broken data and a larger body will emerge from it and try to fight them.]

[Whoever chooses to go to this Dark Field will find Hikari waiting to help, just near Primary Village, with Gatomon already at Angewomon. That'll probably help keep the Devimon off them.]

[And here's Lillet with Coronamon, hoping that for once, things don't go badly.]

[Perry gave a wave as he approached the two girls with Bartholomew floating alongside. The Tapirmon wore a fedora that matched Perry's except for the band which was dark blue instead of black.

Perry looked between them and Bartholomew spoke up.]

Should we wait on another or get started?

[ There's not much waiting to do, actually, because Chika and Biyomon are running right out of the Trailmon and towards the group. ]

... We aren't late, right?

[ She's not panting or anything, at least. So wasn't rushing too much. ]

[Hikari looks at the little group assembled.]

Not at all. We're waiting to see if anyone else shows.

How many more people do we need? [She recalls Hikari saying they needed at least four people, but Hikari is here, and that makes four, so??]

Underwater Tunnel - August 28th

[This Dark Field, named so for its inside rather than its white-and-rainbow outside, is in the most secluded location. Aquatic Digimon swim around the tunnel's top, staring at the field, but more or less leaving it alone.

The Chosen taking part in this mission have received a small handheld, like a walkie-talkie that can gather data if close enough, through a small antenna.

If they get close to the Dark Field, an IceDevimon with broken data and a larger body will emerge from it and try to fight them.]

[Sonata and Penguinmon get along marginally at best, but Sonata decided to trek out to the Underwater Tunnel anyways. Even if Sonata lacked a Crest like everyone seemed to be getting lately, she still wanted to help out- she's not just an idol, after all!]

[Sonata isn't the only one who lacks a Crest, and Shark isn't going to let a thing like that stop him. This dark field business needed to be taken care of, and for that, he would pitch in and help the effort.]

Do we go in now?

[He's not asking anyone in particular, just that he was told to stick with the group, and he somewhat reluctantly, will.]

Go in? Sonata remembers Hikari saying we just have to get close enough to stick the data gatherer thing in.

[While we're on the subject of the champions-only crew there's also a kid who has a crest, but the last time he used it it was... bad.]

E-exactly! We're not going in this time. We're just getting close, tossing the gatherer in, and running. If anyone falls in... [Sigh.] No. Let's just not fall in.

Koromon Village - August 29th

If they get close to the Dark Field, a Myotismon with broken data and a larger body will emerge from it and try to fight them.]

[ The lure of combat and payment combined was simply too much to avoid, and to Roze's mind, if you didn't go out and see what was going on, what was the point in bein' one of this stupid Chosen things, anyways? She and Kotemon talked it over, slept on it, and set off first thing in the morning. ]

So, I'm not supposed to fight anything? [ She asked, voice strained with a hint of petulant whining as she looked at her katana, which evidently wasn't much use around these parts. ]

Well, not precisely, no. I'm supposed to fight. How am I going to improve, otherwise, ma'am?

I don't like it. Nobody fights for me. Nobody covers my ass. This is some bullshit... [ She sighs, shaking the handheld given to her for the assignment. ]

[At Hikari's suggestion, BlackWargreymon has arrived at the Koromon Village. He's waiting patiently for the Chosen to arrive and begin their mission, as he intends to do nothing more than protect them while they carry it out.

If that Myotismon doesn't show, BWG is certain he'll hardly be useful, as the devices for data gathering are far too small for him to operate - or even hold properly.]

[ Humming to herself and turning the device over in her hands for inspection, Roze was largely oblivious of another presence as they approached. Kotemon didn't seem interested and kept walking until Roze looked up, stiffened her posture and reached for her katana. ]

What the hell is that? Huh? What is that? Is that something we've gotta fi---fuck it, that you've gotta fight?

No ma'am...I don't think so.

YO! [ She barks, tapping the hilt of her katana against her head by way of salute. ] Sup, Gojira?

[BWG takes a moment to regard this woman, attempting to determine if she is being brave by addressing him in this manner, or foolish.]

Greetings, Chosen.

And uh...salutations? [ She sniffs, rolling her shoulders and looking the creature over thoughtfully. ]

Milleniummon's Castle - August 31st

[The newest Dark Field, named so for its inside rather than its white-and-rainbow outside, is in the most problematic location: it's on the roof of the abandoned Castle.

The Chosen taking part in this mission have received a small handheld, like a walkie-talkie that can gather data if close enough, through a small antenna.

If they get close to the Dark Field, a Devidramon with broken data and a larger body will emerge from it and try to fight them.]

*Dante had been advised against leaving the city with his partner still unable to evolve, but Dante and good decisions didn't exactly go hand in hand. He's still feeling a bit sick and a bit more tired than usual, but he's been getting bored of not seeing any real action anyway. So Rebellion on his back out of habit and sentimentality and the formerly demonic gauntlets and grieves, Gilgamesh on his hands and feet so he could hopefully at least defend himself somewhat, he's set out with Coronamon for this mysterious castle.*
